hello soldatforums i used to live here i am a fucking elder jerk wuddup

i think the new devs should apply to get soldat on steam. if y'all are too afraid of noobs flooding the servers (like they did when G4 talked about us ten years ago), maybe the steam version can have an alternate lobby server or something. but yo this game is legendary! why not solidify that in people's high-tech spacefuture cloud gaming libraries? maybe with proper marketing 30 people or so would register and michał could buy himself a sick pair of leather boots or whatever, he fucking deserves it

o k but really, sorry for the spam post, i couldn't sleep last night. soldat is a good game, i hate to see it get lost to the sands of internet obscurity. it deserves better than that.

Getting something on Steam takes effort and money, the MM is probably the only one with the resources to do so. He is not interested in Soldat anymore, and I highly doubt Shoozza gives a rats ass about Steam.

That said, maybe someday...

MM could be rich off this game. If it is tailored to yhe competative community and improved, particularly graphically, seriously. Epic is definitely the word.

Anyone want to help start a fundraiser to get soldat onto greenlight? Say, we choose our favorite 100 DM, CTF, and INF maps, clean everything up just a little bit, and get this shit back into the world?

I wouldn't think about adding Soldat to Steam before 1.7 or any version which works well with new versions of Windows.

Current soldat doesnt? I have the latest released Soldat working well with Windows 7. Or does Soldat not work on Windows 8 or 10?

The game got some flaws on win8(or win 8.1) afaik. I remember I got some issues with window size and correct scaling, window was cut off and such graphic glitches. Maybe it has got better but I haven't really tested soldat on new windows. I wonder if there's any improvement in windows 10.

I play under Win8.1 and it works well. Different than on Vista, but works.

Nope just secret stuff and ShoSho hasn't revealed anything afaik. But that wouldn't really help since the release date is unknown and I don't see 1.7 happening anytime soon :(.

Like those of you who were on the beta team with me back in the day knows, my computer skills are limited to redtube and ordering pizza. Still, knowing fuck all about what it takes to get a game on steam, I really support this idea. I see a lot of these 'oldschool' games become very popular on steam at the moment, and why shouldn't soldat have it's say. it's still a great game mechanic-wise, all it needs is the userbase.
