Making a Soldat movie
« on: May 03, 2007, 09:52:50 am »
I made a soldat movie with fraps but when it was done it was 3.09 GB!!!!!!!!! I compressed it to only 709 MB and took the glithes out but it's still too big, thats as big as a movie!! and youtune only allows 100MB, but i mean thats huge for only 4 minutes and the comppression took an hr.!! I saw other Soldat movies using Fraps and i bought it. How do to Comppress it to at least 100 MB? just do it over again or what? I mean the is alot of Compression from 3.09 GB to 709 MB but it's still too big! Is the a special codec I need to use or what?

Well, you could upload it to Google Video, as you know, even SV the movie was in 4 minute parts in j00tube.

Umm.....YEAH. That's it.

Try 30 FPS. Use Virtual Dub to convert it down to 30. Or 24. Either one works.

Under 24 is choppy. Noticeably choppy.

DO NOT do that again. 50 FPS is too much.

And now you know how much trouble I go through capturing video from my camera.
Don't say that you're Magic. Because you aren't, and I am.
All-around good with weapons that aren't long range, except in TW.
Now be careful out there, soldier.

an old version of virtual dub used to compress movies in .avi really well, but I don't know how to do it in the new ones.
