San Andreas Mod (work in progress, help needed)
« on: May 15, 2007, 04:00:38 pm »
I've promised to trooper that this one will be soon out, but guess i'm bad in keeping promises, lately. When the new version of soldat arrived it slowed down my work, not just with this GTA mod, but with a pile of other stuff. That's why I've decided i'll give a part of job to YOU! I expect a lot of QUALITY stuff & ideas in making of:

- gosteks (can be any character from San Andreas, color it or you can make a grayscale one, ideas for hats, hair etc.)
- maps (try to make some interesting locations from San Andreas, I'm looking more for deathmatch maps, but feel free to choose your own type)
- explosions and flames needed, but in a style like the fire for molotov cocktail i made - i mean on transparency (look down - it's actually cluster)
- other sparks
- other things that you would like to implement (e.g. bonuses...)

that's what i ask, a lot of things, but i also did a a big job so far. All the weapons were made (including weapons-gfx), at least those which I intended to make:

These are the flames for cocktail (clusters), try to follow this style for explosion & flames, pay attention on the transparency!

I don't need any help in completing the interface, it's finished. The biggest problem are sounds. i've extracted them all from san andreas, but their number is enormous and all have the similar name, i really wanna replace all the original soldat sounds - if you have some of san andreas sounds (except the weapon sounds) with specified names so they are easy to  recognise please upload them!

and that would be all. now i expect a feedback from you good people. post your work here, lets collab, and yes, credits expect you!

Interface looks great.. although personally I think where you have akimbo guns, they  are too close together.

Wait... no vibrator?

If I was good at mapping I'd make some maps to help.. but instead I thought I'd give you a list of potential locations for maps to be based..

Grove street (from binco/railway tracks all the way to cj's house)

Doherty/Garcia (from CJ's garage, the construction yard to zero's shop and the baseball pitches)

Mount Chiliad + Angel Pine (probably good for infiltration)

Ha, someone should make the Back-O-Beyond and have a big foot and leatherface bot running around.
In-Game names: Charlotte, Gin Fox, Agent Sonnata.
Current Mod Project: The Dark Lament.

great ideas you have, but map making... i don't have any skills at all

i took some gosteks from Henito, it will be enough, i just need to be patient till he makes a gang member gostek and then i can complete that part and work on sparks
