Download mods from server. With an option in server list to avoid listint mod servers.
Or depending of size of mods.

Edit:"the whole gfx and sfx" or all the things.

off-topic: I have adsl 1mbit/s , I think that's enough.

on-topic: there should be a mod preview for each server , or even better , every server should have a picture and it could be anything on it!!!!

This would put alot of stress on servers, and also it could get a little cluttered, also I customised my soldat to my playing style. Interesting idea, but probably not feasible.

Yes!!, to this topic and what Will said about a preview.

I would love to bring my goldeneye ctf server back and have all the players have the cool gfx and sfx.

A great Idea :D


But there should like be a maximum mod size in the server's soldat.ini so the mod download doesn't clog the connection.

Yea, it would be awesome... any mod you make they can instantly get so they can have the same experience, wich would make soldat a little more interesting... I personally would like it so everybody could play the mecha mod with me instantly...or at least a minute of downloading....

torrent files would rock. although for 56kers, there should be an option to disable downloads. but if only 2 or 3 people had it on in a server it would work great.

The server would lag horribly every time someone was downloading.  Imagine having like 3 people trying to all download Mecha Soldat or some big mod like that.

off  topic: imo the best sulotion to most issues would be giving soldat DDE support or something similar *drool* then one could make custom programs for things like this :)

i dont want some random guy's crappy mod for nekkid soldats or some shit like that.
