Soldat vs ZP2K9
« on: March 06, 2009, 05:24:23 pm »
So who's played ZP2K9? It's quite similar to Soldat, except better. Though it's only on Xbox Community Games, no PC version. It was made by James Silva, the dude who's making Dishwasher: Dead Samurai.

What do you think?

I like soldat more because it has a better feeling and look. Don't like the movement in the game, the centered cam lets the game look numb.
The game may suit better for kids it not that violent like soldat (no heads flying around - or did i miss something ;) ) its somehow like teewars from the graphic style.

I left Soldat. Time for something new. The community needs something better anyways... </Shoozza>

That game's much slower, aiming looks pretty limited, I don't like its graphics, far less violent as well. Seems like the typical "new game" to me - has newer graphics but with crappy substance.

Nothing like Soldat.

Not even close to soldat LOL

Slow gameplay as well. It's not better, it's crap.

Graphics don't make a game. Gameplay does.

I think your screen name is eerily similar to the moniker of my hometown's local rapper* (J Fizz).
As to this game*, from the video it looks like soldat but boring and annoying style-wise in visuals, audio, and gameplay.
Also, posts like this on forums like this sure seem like biting the hand that feeds...

Looool, how is that at all familiar to soldat?  I don't even see no jets, no nade kits, no CTF.  It looks nothing like Soldat in my opinion.  Im'a stick to soldat for now. ;)

The jets is that "bee suit" thingy in the video.

Whatever it is, that game can't be compared to Soldat - Soldat is way superior.

Has anyone actually played it? Any of you have an xbox?

Yeah it has the bee suit, and 6 types of grenades, and CTF. And KOTH. I don't know another game out there that's more similar to Soldat than this game.

But, I really shouldn't be saying which one is better, because I've only played a handful of rounds on both games. But from what I've played, ZP2k9 is more fun. Maybe that just means it's more accessible though.

Sorry about that.  I didn't get to finish watching the whole video.

Mind if I ask what KOTH is?

And no, I don't have an XBOX, just a PS2. ;)

well, koth would be an interesting addon to soldat

graphics are horrible (when going soldat vs *that*)

its much, much, MUCH slower

dam, it seems like there are soldat wannabes on the consoles

seems like they are desperate to get soldat on them, even if its just a crappy copy of it

*sniff*
this thought made my day lucky

That's probably it. Soldat's controls take a bit of getting used to, and that game looks more pick-up-and-play. Just judging from the video I don't think there's any contest-soldat blows it out of the water in my opinion.
