Hey, guys. So I wanted to get a Soldat game going with a bunch of forumers today, but not enough people were interested / informed. Therefore, I'd like to schedule a forum gather for Thursday, July 23rd at approximately 9PM GMT. The time is up for debate in case it's inconvenient to a lot of you.

Anyway, I'm hoping to get at least a 5v5 CTF game going. I figured I'd post this here for those of you who don't check General Discussions.

Thursday sounds fine to me!

I'd love to come.  Lets just hope we get enough people wanting to participate?  I heard we will be using Godefroy's server.  Mind telling me what the server info is?  Thanks. :)

The server information will be given the day and time of the event on IRC. There's no guarantee what server will be used right now.

No, this is not a gather. This is a mixed scrim. Getting people together in a server without a bot telling you the maps/teams and having more flexibility of freedom with changing up teams, maps, gamemodes, with the ability to f*** around between maps without someone harassing you to rush because they are in a scrim binge is a billion times better than a gather.

If this is a popular enough idea, I don't see why it can't become a regular thing, although I somewhat doubt that it will. We used to do this sort of thing during the reign of DNA Games. We had a designated forum server and would occasionally schedule "slaughter sessions".

At any rate, for those of you who think you won't be able to make it because of a time conflict, please let us know what time you would prefer and we'll see if we can agree on anything.

Yeah, I thought that #soldat.forums is going to have its own gather bot for a second.
