doesn't look much different, still has way to many routes. my personally opinion is that this map just get scrapped.

I really like this remake
Those columns are weird, too many of them, too large, too straight forward (just a line)
I dunno if you want that impact, but if you didn't, I suggest removing half of them (remove one, leave the other, remove one...)

I like the new one more than the original, but honestly I don't really like the map idea to begin with and probably should just be removed completely all together and add give a completely different map a chance on the beta.

As it is, I do like it more than original Lanubya, and propably gonna vote for it. How ever the solution to fix the play is pretty easy (add new route, more flow), but also "heartless", once again I see some originality dieing there.

I support As de Espada's idea. It would remove one part of map that has always slowed down the play in Lanubya. I think the gameplay would be more like old lanubya cos top and middle would be connected before bases.

Personally, im inclined to agree with the players that feel the map should just be scrapped altogether. The remake is better than the original, but its still a bad map.

- the support columns under the bridge should be made less prominent - either fewer of them, or each one less thick, or whatever. As it is, I find it too distracting and not really adding anything ... other than a sense of imprisonment maybe.

- I appreciate the fact that the routes are faster, however I don't particularly enjoy the fact that the access shafts between mid and down have been widened so much. The same goes for the space between the two parts of the center bridge.

Tight is better.

Did some modifying with old Lanubya, based on As De Espada's suggestion:

- Scenery not added.
- Possible to test modification at #soldat.mapping (ctf_Lanubya2)

If you got interested, then I'd be interested to hear if you think medic places should be changed somehow.
edit: medic + grenade places fixed similiar both sides in mapfile

Boots:
Top center :(: One of unordinary things in Lanubya are multiple poly islands in top/mid route, not that I'm strongly against that change but at least for now I like to keep with original there. However if that your new top center design get more support, I'm ready to modify that.

The mountains :) (between base and center area): I support idea about removing a bit of mountain top.

Bottom route entrances to base :-\: Reminds Laos/Maya2 solution, I'd like to keep things different. Your version is more slowpaced, so if my version gives too good bottom I could change it then. However again, if your suggestion get more support, I'm okay to modify it then.

Bottom center :(: Your version flattens the bottom too much. It's easier to spray and propably faster to move on. However I'll do some flattening on bottom center.

the bottom wasn't meant to be flat, just higher. alot of the annoying things on the map was the top route, it was to small and just eh not very good.

the low isn't that bad, i just think there needs to be more room there. not these small tunnels everywhere. it also might make flag get awaying easier.

we'll see what everyone else has to see, but there's nothing but improvement needed for this map.

I'm not home right now, so only with the OVs I'll say:
@SW: nice, that's what I was thinking, the main problem that I saw when I think over my idea was how to go from lower route to the flag, you seem to have worked on that too.

@Boots: joining those 3 islands in the middle of the map seems to be a good idea. I don't like the lower route right now, too much maya2 for me. The original upper route is one of the most fun to move in the game in my oppinion, now it's just too flowy (ruined).

Agreed with As de Espada that very top route is fun to move on.

- forgot to mark it in pic but center area "second level from top" is smoothed
