MP3's
« on: November 29, 2006, 04:56:52 pm »
I was wondering is there a way to play MP3's without registering. I saw this once in  topic but I'm too lazy to search that hard. You have to convert the MP3's into some other file like the "Gore" and "Necromancide" you know? I'm just curious if you would have to replace the default songs or not if I did this. And how exactly I would do it.

Actually reading the question is for chumps, huh, Bj? Anyway, you need to get a program for the file conversion. I'm not sure, but GoldWave may support it.

Just open Winamp and a make a playlist.
Leave it playing in the background and go Soldat.

I used to use windows media player, but it would lag for like 5 seconds everytime it was picking a song at random. But now I have an Ipod, and I just listen to that while im playing.

I kinda prefer not using the in-game MP3 player in Soldat, because when I play R/S,and I'm waiting for a respawn,I usually bring up my music in-game.However,sometimes a weird bug messes it up,and doesn't play any sound from Soldat at all.Weird.

I suggest Winamp.

Winamp is a resources hog compared to the independently developed foobar2000. Use that if you're not going to feed Michal Marcinkowski or Soldat hates your playlists.
If you want to change the game music (like Bloody Soil, Gore), you need to replace the tracker files. The H&K Mod does this, in case anyone doesn't think it can be done.
