How do I play the MP3s?
« on: December 03, 2006, 02:21:08 am »
I got the registered version of Soldat, and I'm excited to use the new features. I added music into the mp3 folder, but it won't play them. How do I get it to worK?

If I'm not wrong, you gotta use Winamp Playlists.

No, I mean, what do I do with the playlist? What about that setting in the options that mentions the mp3 music?

EDIT: Actually, I got the playlist to show up in-game, but it just skips thorugh all the songs as if they had no length.

You have to save the playlist as an m3u.  You can do this with Windows Media PLayer... Just add your songs, and Save Playlist As... > type in whatever you want the list to be called, then on the dropdown arrow, make sure .m3u is selected.

That should get it to work =).

This is a myth. I am able to play songs that are not in the Mp3 folder. Only the playlists need to be in the Mp3 folder. The bugginess of the songs also has nothing to do with their location, some songs I have in the Mp3 folder don't play.

If want to use a homebrew .m3u maker made specifically for Soldat, check out SPG. It's what I used.

I did save it as an m3u. I did all that stuff. The playlist shows up in-game, but it won't play the songs.
