logwmemory.bin
« on: December 21, 2006, 12:10:13 pm »
Hi, I have noticed a file in my C:\ drive thats named logwmemory.bin and I delete it. When I start Soldat and play it and then quit, its back. What is it?? I don't use any cheats for any game...
Why does it come back every time?! I have anti-virus and other anti-malware programs if it was some virus doing something but it is related to Soldat because it recreates itself when I start Soldat.

I get it too, I think it's when packets are sent from Soldat to your computer it creates that file so that's where all the packets go. I'm a clean person too and I like those annoying things out of my screen, but if I was you I'd just ignore it, it does no harm to anything, it's just a blip in the screen. Happy Holidays!

What I have heard, it is part of Soldat's Anti-Cheating technology. I can not confirm that, but I am quite sure it is.

Enesce's lying, don't believe him.

Dude, seriously don't worry about it, if it was a hacky thingy then it wouldn't be able to be deleted, and it can be deleted so yeah.

What EnEsCe is true, thats why I posted this thread. Did I have that trainer spy on my computer without knowing it? But I then noticed when I start Soldat it comes back to the C:\ directory. SO it has to be related to Soldat. I just wanted to know what it is...
Seems that many of us has that file.

Soldat itself is actually creating this file, with read-only properties as described in documents to prevent trainer spy from being used. Although trainer spy is designed to be used on trainers, it can still be used for soldat; this is some protection against it.

ie: it's normal, ignore it, it does nothing.
