Cool punk bands
« on: July 04, 2008, 08:38:02 am »
'sup guys! I've been listening to some Misfits and Danzig lately, mainly songs such as She, Dig Up Her Bones, Scream!, 138, Bullet and Mother.

Do you know of any other cool punk bands? I looked at the Ramones and nearly threw up.
There are other worlds than these

Lagwagon, Rancid, Nofx(Come to think of it after relistening to them... just skip them.)  Millencolin, Dropkick Murphys(Damn it Warriors Code and The Meanest of Times are two of my most favorite albums EVER), Bromheads Jacket.

Come to think of it just head to Tooth and Nail, alot of their stuff is punk or pop-punk.  One band I recently got into from T&N is The Classic Crime, good stuff.

You know, cool and punk are two words that shouldn't be used together.

uhhhh excuse me good charlotte is anything but mainstream

their original and controversial lyrics are a cunning commentary on the world and its gradual ethic and sociological changes throughout the 90's and early 21st century. they encourage deep thinking and a want for change among today's rampant youth.
if more people listened to good charlotte then the world would be a better place.

GOOD CHARLOTTE FOREVER

Mindless Self Indulgence is really good, don't know if they can technically be considered "punk", but they have a lot of punk influence in their music.

and if you want Ska-Punk...
Big D and the Kids Table
Streetlight Manifesto
Reel Big Fish
Less Than Jake
The Aquabats
