I think that it would affect players who try to lure out the last player [in R/S matches] by grabbing their flag and throwing it away.
You can tell when someone drops it if you're aware of who the EFC is and can see his name on the kill console. However, this is a good idea, it rounds out the information already given, and I don't think it can hurt at all. This would make people more aware of when flags are loose, and for those who play in CW/Gather/Upper level it changes nothing. The decision then is that: does the message only appear when the EFC is KILLED, when he THROWS the flag, or both? Would it say:Player lost the Red Flag. (killed)Player threw the Red Flag. (thrown)Player dropped the Red Flag. (generic, for both maybe)Tehsnipah, no more annoying than any of the other flag messages and again they can be eliminated by editing the txt file.In short, I think this suggested is extremely well founded, and would round off the seeming lack of flag information provided to the player.

I've wondered for a while Soldat doesn't tell you when someone drops the alpha / bravo flag. Maybe it should?
