A clanmate of mine had this kind of a idea. What about adding cursor to the demos and spectator view? You could see how people aim, and this could spot possible "aimbot"'s aswell, I think.
Im not sure if this has been suggested already though. Lock if necessary.

There would be 10 cursos on a 5v5
how would you know which one is each.

The cursor of one who you are spectating.

Support as an option, it would be neat.

That's an excellent idea. Or if cursor is not possible, then sniper-line/sight-line. To get cursor position, you would have to get individuals mouse x,y position apart from direction. Whichever way would work. Also, color-coding (from shirt, hair, etc.) could be implemented to help tell cursors/lines apart. Kudos on a good idea. :)

Though, I am not sure how the lag would make it to look like. Currently demos seem to be alot laggier than the game itself.

Good idea. but
i think this can't be done.

Sniper-line, or at least something that points in the direction that a gun is pointing at should be possible. A cursor could still be done, but if it's impossible to get the x,y of mouse position, then at least have a cursor that's x-distance from player/gun. Basically, just an image on an invisible line.
I really like this idea... I hope this can be done. Clawbug is genious.

Love this idea. F12.

I like this idea too, F12
I also think it would be a fun idea to make spectating bots and other players in demos (if you can't already do that, I've never tried with real ppl b4, and I don't think you can spec bots in demos)

i think it would be a great idea, seeing as u know someone who is awsome at the game and u wanna know what the hell they do to be so good.

This is an idea worth taking seriously, i would like to see this happen F12

Great idea. F12.

The clanmate is ME! ME ME!

It would be good, but Soldat's netcode and demo recording does not have such flexibility.

LOL!
F12, excellent idea.

Netcode would only be needed if you wanted x,y of x-player's mouse. In demo's it should still be possible to have a sniper-line for everyone... as it's simply a line extending from the weapon and just acts as part of the weapon. As long as you can physically see where the weapon is pointing at and it's rotation/angle, then extending a line should not be that hard. Then just either make the line visible, or at x-distance from weapon put a "cursor" like image on an invisible line. Then you can see aiming more accurately. I've said enough. Put it in 1.4.3 :)

Well, almost the same could be achieved by modding the weapons to have HUGE barrell. Some 50 meters barrel and it would look like it was some kind of an "aiming line". Too bad, the lagginess of the demos are preventing this to be efficient way stopping aimbots etc.

It would be nice if this were implemented... F12
