Well this has me aggrivated...
I just got done playing against a doppleganger of me, someone out there had my name!
MY NAME!
A fellow by the name of reckon[dv] was trying to say I took "his" name.
Now its kinda funny to "claim" a name, but given the fact that its such odd word to use as a user name, this was a weird situation.
Oh well, Im pretty sure ive been around longer than that guy as he wasnt he wasnt the most competent player out there, but still... it bothers me that im no longer the only reckon out there.

Almost, but the difference is they do it purpously (with my unique period after the Meep)

unfortunately, many people have reason to imitate me. This is why I use enesce's nickname registration on my servers to protect it. If any other server owners want to help prevent this kinda thing, feel free to contact him (forum PM will do fine) to keep your server nice and tidy.

Unfortunately, this is also the reason I don't go into other servers. If I stay in my servers and people know that, then they'll know that any FliesLikeABrick they see in other servers isnt' me

Also happend to me and some fellow clanners... Luckely I can perm ban IP on my server ^^

lol there are a ton of mr. t's floating around. on my kills log i had like 15 before i formatted and know i have only 6 different ones recorded. sometimes people i dont even know ask me stuff. but i just pretend like they all love me so it doesnt matter.

Well I dont think this person did this on purpose as it seemed to be one big coincidence.
I just find it really really odd that someone else has taken a liking to the word "reckon" to use it as their name.
Thats been my gaming identity for years, I dont feel speciallllll :<

You can't name yourself Zero and not expect this.

Actually, I don't often see other Zeros in Soldat, and nobody has tried to actually impersonate me, to my knowledge. Seems DarkShadowDeathSnipa-type names are more popular.
Edit: And names with about 30 different clan tags all over them.

Although, I see alot of 'Captain ...' and lots of Bens, but as far as I noticed, there's only one Captain ben and it be me.
I see alot of Enesces and Reckons though.

happened to me few times because the other guy thought it'd be cool for him to be a jerk and copy my name and start spamming so that he could get everyone to go against me. Â I can't kick him because in the menu I dont' know which zyxstand is the bad one. Â It probably has the order of the numbers in the F1 menu - never quite got around to figure that out... Â Anyways, he managed to identify me in the kick list and eventually i was kicked off the server... Â Â It hurt.

Both my forum name and soldat name are pretty original, never seen another person with my same name... most people could prolly realize pretty fast if its me for not even if there was one... playing with me and be a uniquie time if i want it to be

I dont have any problems with impersonating me by other ppl. The only guy i've ever seen with "Dentist" in his nick is "4 out of 5 Dentists". I dont know the guy and saw him for the first time like after a year of having my nickname.

I killed someone in deathmatch a few weeks back and it said "You killed A".

I got kinda pissed off, especially because he was using a lower case "a" instead of an uppercase. Lower case A's suck.

I've never seen another Brock, online or in R/L (Yes, that is my real name). While sometimes I curse having a queer name, other times I praise it. However, while playing Halo I did encounter a "Brock Kane". My Halo name was Brock, meh...
