PolyWorks bad file problem

Whenever I try to load poly works it loads and then says "bad file' and thats end of story, can sum1 plz help me out? thnx ???

Erm could post a screenshot of the error window, just press alt+prntscrn, open up paint and press ctrl+v. Then save the image as .PNG format and attatch it to your post. Perhaps went wrong with the saving, an error I got a while ago was "error due to overflow" make sure if you have any far away from the main map playgons, move them closer. That's all for now that I can think of.

Try extracting it to a different location.

I've extracted to 3 different places, and still no luck. Any other advice?

There is nothing to recover because it's not a problem with a map. I'm not sure what the cause of this error is. Change the Dir entry in the Preferences section in polyworks.ini to your Soldat directory if you haven't tried that already. I'll put in some more detailed error messages for the next version.

Thank you Anna, that worked perfectly. Just had to change ti to the soldat directory.

omg!!!!!!!!!!!!! IM SOOOOOOOO HAPPYz! I GOT IT WORKING!!! here are some more detailed instructions for any1 STILL confused: open soldat_polyworks file you downloaded and open Soldat Polyworks. somewhere you should see polyworks.ini.... open it with notepad and the second line will say, "Dir=____________" this is where you type in your directory for soldat. now enjoy polyworks!
