Figured i'd say what happened with that girl and I.

She just liked being my lab partner several times because I always got her good grades. She's essentially a dits who doesn't care that much about school. The other day, right before a test, she actually said to the teacher "aww miss can I take the test tomorrow? I didn't pay attention." Obviously the teacher declined such an absurd request.

But yeah, after insisting she'd go with me several times (especially when I told her i'd buy her prom ticket) she tells me her mom isn't letting her go to prom at all since she thinks people there will be drinking and stuff.

The next day I hear her telling her female friends "let's all go to prom together since we don't have dates."

I should have seen it coming. :-/

P.S. words of advice for prom

-never ask about prom directly, always ease into the conversation
-don't be oblivious to girls who will repeatedly promise to go with you, i would recommend asking a friend or someone outside of school who you'll be sure would go
-don't act like you'll do anything to go with the person - shows desperation and creepiness
-don't say your going to buy her a prom ticket- its implied the guy SHOULD anyways
-noone gives a s**t about the actual prom itself unless your in a relationship, it's always about the afterparty
-dont view prom as a place just to get some...you can do that anywhere, just go there to have fun
-if you have more than fun and you somehow get some... well then thats just an added bonus

Yea, I remember going to prom and I guess it was fun with my date but I had tons of fun afterwards because we rented a beach house and met and partied with a bunch of people down the shore from other schools.
