Update (Feb' 2016): The most current list of all Soldat versions can be found in the Soldat wiki (http://wiki.soldat.pl/index.php/Soldat_History).
[Calp]
Original post:
I have collected as many Soldat versions/patches as possible at http://static.soldat.pl/downloads/
Credit for the original list on the old forums goes to Atticus.
Many of the versions listed here are lost. If you have the missing files, please post them in this thread.

Wow, 0.9.4C is awsome
Barret owns everthing it that ;P
-
LOL the first version is so much harder than usual soldat...i like it
-
1.2.1 FTW!!! Still love that one.
EDIT; Bgretydews 22 post allready, OMG!
-
It's really great to have an archive of these. Maybe I'll try one of the original versions tonight... it'll be interesting to see how far Soldat has come in the past few years.
-
1.1.5 is the best :-*
-
1.1.2 Was my first one, still hooked
-
That u saved all that is cool :)
-
1.1.5 is the best :-*
Nuff said.
-
I used to hate not being able to roll backwards.
-
1.2.1 pwnz. Was my first version and im still hooked.
-
God I love the first version. Downloaded it last year, still play it from time to time. The F2-F12 keys are really interesting in that version. They control waypoints and stuff. Experiment, but make sure to back up the waypoint files first.
-
So no one has any plans to fix the currupt one?
-
if someone can find me a different copy of 1.1.2 I will fix the corrupt one
-
1.2.0 = my fav forever.
-

I made one some time ago, http://nanobot.fracturedsoldat.com/comlist.html
-
1.1.0 kicks ass. 1.0.5b is probably even better, too bad I found soldat 2 weeks too late to play it online.
-
I found this (http://filer.minkoffert.no/darknoddy/Soldat1.1.2.rar) in my version archive (1.1.2)
Nice post FLAB
-
I found this (http://filer.minkoffert.no/darknoddy/Soldat1.1.2.rar) in my version archive (1.1.2)
Nice post FLAB
Works! Nice find!
-
turns out I had a copy of it already as well. Link fixed with the working copy
-
I found this (http://filer.minkoffert.no/darknoddy/Soldat1.1.2.rar) in my version archive (1.1.2)
Nice post FLAB
I made it :|
Thx for the working version.
-
the old soldat versions are fun to look at, more entertaining/exiting than the game (when u havnt tried any version except 1.3.1 like me)
-
YOU RULE!!!
OMG I want them all.
-
Why does a lot of papole I know like vers. 1.2.1
-
Maybe because its better (to them) i dunno lol
-
1.2.1 is my all time favorite version.
I started before that, but that's my favorite because in my eyes it was the most balanced.
-
Man soldat has come a long way since the first version, this is awesome
*Begins downloading them all*
-
Only link what works at this moment is 1.1.2? I want to try them all!
-
I wanna try the first :(
-
1.2.1 pwnz. Was my first version and im still hooked.
I so agree, playing older versions of Soldat is pretty fun man, the good old days.
-
The links don't work anymore.
-
Yeah, FLAB, all the links are broken, I want 0.9.4b :(
-
hm. Plx repair them or upload new setups. I need those vers.
-
I'll try and track down someone who has a copy of these
-
Some of them can be found here:
http://www.metaftp.com/?t=searchresults&PageId=1&QStr=Soldat&OrderType=1&OrderDirect=1
-
will there ever be a soldat 2? or is it stopping at 1.3.1?
-
Could someone that has dled all of those versions of soldat put them in a single rar and upload them to someplace like rapidshare?
-
Nearly all the versions can be found here: http://soldat.planets.gamespy.com/Files-list.php?f=official_files
and i wanna say that 1.2.1 is also my favorite one...
-
Man for some reason none of the links work for me!
-
All of the links on the first page are broken and almost all of the user posted ones leads me to 404. Come on, can someone mirror them? Especially the early ones.
-
Yes... It makes me sad. I thought "great! I've found what I looked for!"...
At least this one (http://www.metaftp.com/?t=searchresults&PageId=0&QStr=Soldat&OrderType=1&OrderDirect=1) works...
It would be nice if someone posts links again.
But you can find version 0.9.4c on Soldat homepage (download -> other).
Oh, and I don't agree that upgrades are useless. At least not all of them. For example some maps disappear in newer versions, like Storm and ctf_chernobyl (and when you use upgrades you still have them).
-
Can you say me when there were SECONDARY WEPONS added ? My first soldat was without them... I dunno which one was that ? : )

If I remember right, that was version 1.1.4, which was in 2003, I think.
-
As for me it is 1.2.1 the best version, it was sufficient to correct a mistake and it was in order to best, yeah it is necessary to play 1.4.1,At the beginning I didn't like 1.4.1, now I already got used, and it is well.
I am greeting :)
-
I'd say 1.2.1 had good WM. Too bad it was too powerful. Easy to be good, to kill fast.

you are right, they played 1.2.1 more easily, bullets from automatic weapons flew straight, and were stronger :|
-
I still remember the day when I downloaded and tried Soldat after a few weeks of its very first release. It still surprises me that I've been playing Soldat for this long to experience all of it's changes and its community. I'm probably one of its oldest players and I never even been active once in the community for more than 5 years. :o
-
None of them work =/
-
I can't download the very first one. Help!
-
FLAB!! U GOT TO PUT 1.3 AND 1.4!!!
-
Links=Broken... Anyone going to fix them?
I would like to try a few before my time, to see what it was like.
-
ugh i might have some copys of old soldat versions il put them on my website and post a link or send them to FLAB <even though he dont know me> =D il see whats can do =D
Worst soldat 1.4.0 <Bullets look like paintballs =S>

Ehh... Soldat went a loooong way starting as a piece of nothing with lot of potential to a great game with lots of ppl playing it.

those file upload sites suck. All versions are archived at http://static.soldat.pl/downloads, I'll update as many of the links on the first post as I can. I don't know if every single one is archived on static.soldat.pl. If anyone has any of the missing ones, please e-mail them (as attachments) to admin@forums.soldat.pl, or post them as attachments to this thread (this would be better than e-mailing them to me)
-
umm..since ive been playing only since november last year...this version looks pretty good :)
-
I've only updated a couple of the links to be working right now. Please attach versions to your post if you notice they are missing from http://static.soldat.pl/downloads
Please only upload the original ZIP files that were distributed. If we can't find anyone who has the original, then I'll request that someone zips an old install or uploads their own homebrew zip.

CHECK THIS OUT GUYS!
[/size]
Hey guys, I found a site where you can download ALL the old versions listed here. I'm not sure if all the downloads work, but 1.2.1 works so far.

-

-
An old picture from April Fools.
-

-
I get no credit for all of my work finding these?
-
You're not going to cry, are you?
-
I get no credit for all of my work finding these?
As players, we receive the biggest credits for keeping the game alive by not just playing, but also giving suggestions as to improve the game. If there is no game, there cannot be any players. Likewise, if there are no players, there cannot be a game.
Therefore, do we really need more credit?
-
Links to changelogs would be awesome ;)

-
I'm saying that I compiled all of these and made this post on the old Soldat Forums. Flies just copied my post giving me no credit. Heh...
-
I always keep all of the versions of the programs and games I download. I then burn them to disk and store them if I ever need to rollback. There's also a few handy websites that do the same.
Well I'll definately see what these early versions offer.
-
Playing older versions of Soldat is pretty fun man, the good old days.
-
just a small bump. most of the links lead directly to static.soldat.pl instead of static.soldat.pl/downloads. can you fix that?
-
List has been updated (links to lost files removed, existing links fixed). Thanks to duz for the updated version history. If anyone has the missing files, please post them here.
-

You've got around a year and a half on me. I started in 2004. 6 years! heh. More than the majority of the people currently active here.
But why the hell did you just register in 2008 if you've been playing so long?
-
His age and COPPA maybe wouldn't let him?
I've been playing since somewhere between 1.1 and 1.2.
-
But why the hell did you just register in 2008 if you've been playing so long?
I wasn't such a sf surfer at that time.
I only started to surf the forums after MRP(mikes realistic playgroumd) failed..
First time I saw the soldat forums was somewhere between 1.2-1.2.1 and it was because google directed me to a post with a hack on it :>
-

wow just going over the version history i didnt know i was playing beta soldat lol i remember when rambo first hit the scene and people where all playin it. weird thing is i thought ive been playing 10 yrs but 0.9.4b - first public beta (09.05.2002) which is only 9 yrs. i didnt think all this time that i was here since the begining but now looking back it makes sense, how the hell did my brother ever find the beta i shall never know. i mean he wasnt a big gamer or even a big computer guy and we live in the u.s weird. maybe fate played a roll. i remember ctf coming out i thought it was gay and distrated from the killing
-
Hmm. I can't count, for how many years I've been playing Soldat. In my memory are two inconsistent facts.
I remember that started in about half of primary school. It makes 9 years of playing. Moreover, in my old notebooks, from about 2003-2004, are some Soldat fan... ergh... "arts". :P
On another hand - the oldest version I remember I played is 1.3.0. It makes only 7 years and end of primary school. It is impossible, because I'm sure I started a little bit more time ago. Or... maybe it was 1.2.0?
In compromise it makes about 8 years of playing, and I keep this version. It makes a looong history, loads of memories, of nice players, quarrels with neokids and noobs...
Thank you very much, everyone, for these nice moments. And have further fun ;)
PS
Sorry for my English ;P

Any idea what to do if Soldat.exe won't run for an older version of the game? "Soldat have stopped working. You may search online for a solution to the problem."

Update?

Hello,
I don't remember which version I started with, it was during my engineer degree, and it started on 1997.
A friend of mine and I use to play Liero on the campus' computers. Good game also, but 2 players on the same keyboard was totally messed up.
Liero on-line was not realesed, or at least we weren't aware of.
So my friend find out a similar game, 2D shooter with online capabilities. He didn't play much but I got totally addicted. I considered registering the game when at a time main features got available under a license, afterwards it got open again despite some extra but not mandatory for gameplay features.
Should start on 2002/3, 1.0.4b??? dunno, can't remember.
I spent longer hours playing in the past, now just play from time to time. I just has it installed on my old desktop, so just play when I come to visit my parents.
Great moments playing online, meeting some friends, or even training with the clan.
:'( :'( :'( (so excited by memories)

7 + 6 = 13, you dum dum
-
7 + 6 = 13, you dum dum
Wrote that from a mobile phone. probably finger slip lol

So grateful for this! Just installed a load of old versions to find an old Soldat desktop icon that I have burned into my memory. I found it! It's so, um, iconic?
I have wanted to do pixel art of it on my sons Minecraft plot for a while now, and without this thread it probably wouldn't happen (I can't access the wiki) - so many thanks, FilesLikeABrick!
Of course during this process I had a play around on the many versions I installed. Just wow! I first installed Soldat in 2002 and it was glorious to revisit those old memories. The intro music gave me chills.
For some reason I can't get the intro to play in 1.7.1 which is a shame. I only moan because I care.
If any are interested then the plot is on mc-central.net join the creative hub and type /p h Stalkid (I will message in the shoutbox when it is done.)
Anyways, thanks for all the memories and to the community for keeping such a great game going for so long. Here's to another 15 years of this amazing game! <3
-
Not sure if anyone cares, but here's another version missing in the first post.
