Hello there, long time no see, where'd you go to anyway :oA couple of different places. The one that's been keeping me busy the most though has been working on websites. Once I made my first one I devoted myself to it and spent less time on everything else. That was in 2003, a few months after I was taking a break from Soldat. It looks like I got so much into working on sites that I didn't come back as early as I originally intended. Yeah, usually breaks don't last that long. O_o

So I've decided to put some of the things that will make me spend hours doing nothing, such as attending to the forums all the time. I'll litterally be on the forums for hours, just waiting for something new to come up so i can answer, 'cause I feel I have nothing better to do. I have to breathe fresh air. It's really just a bad silly bad habit, but even that requires full attention in order to be solved, it seems.
Well, it'll be temporary, but I have to move on. Might be a matter of months, might be weeks. Might only be days, i dunno, but I've gotta change my steam for some time.

Anyways, I'm developing a game, using the Irrlicht engine, and I was pleasantly surprised to see MM at those forums too, using the Irrlicht engine on his new game. How do you go from being slightly rich to dirt poor over a lost job? Lost investments, sure, but I mean, slightly rich people have savings and can afford to be without work for a little while...She's been out of a job for around 3 months now, what savings we have are close to being depleted. That's impossible. From what I've read effects of the exposure of said rays increase exponentially and thus albeit long-term exposure will result in hastened effects, even the tiniest amount will eventually result in what can only be described as urges. Further, your ability to form any recongnizable language will diminish, as well as your IQ.

I have to admit, I don't just browse 4chan, but also 7chan and iichan. Why? I got back my results yesterday and now I have to decide where to go from here by Friday. I am not impressed, in fact depressed; I have only a few choices of Junior Colleges (one of the types of institutes I can go to for tertiary education, the one I have been aiming for) to enter, and those few aren't exactly good.
To make matters worse, my computer has officially broken down. Apparently there's something wrong with its power supply - sometimes I can turn it on, sometimes I can't even boot up. For the last few days, it's been the latter, so I suspect the computer's fried. I guess I'm going to need a new computer, but I don't think I'll get one anytime soon. In case you're wondering how I got in here, I'm using someone else's computer at the moment.
Therefore, I won't be around. How long, I do not know.

Nice to see you as a moderator! Things have been great here. I've become moderator as well, on a forum called Facepunch. You might have heard, it was basically a forum for gmod, but has within the recent years expanded quite a lot.
Outside my life on the web, I'm going to attend university this autumn. It's very likely that I'll end up studying Computer Engineering, which pretty much would be a dream come true. It's a 5 year programme. 3 years study for bachelor's degree then 2 years focused on a certain subject for the master's degree.
I was quite young when I joined the Soldat community, so the exciting parts of my life has yet to start :)

I quit gaming and forums and focussed on school afer realising that I was just wasting time I could use for much better things. I used the free time I had to take up a mini-job at a local food retailer called HIT where I have worked as a cashier on a basis of 400€ monthly for 9 months now. I developed quite a bit to be frank, and hope you will notice that I am less of an annoying forum-troll who has nothing better to do than annoy people.
I finished school this month and applied for a Master of Business Administration. Today I got the call that I get my education! Additionally, I applied for the youth City council of my hometown and will probably succeed as well.
All in all, I am happy right now. Just wanted to share this bit of my life with you guys! :)

In 2011, I made a post here about my future university studies. Now I'm already a second year Computer Engineering student. Time goes by fast for sure. And I still come back here every time I'm reminded of Soldat. :)
back kind of, but sad that PolyWorks doesn't work on my Win7, even with that one beta guy's installer :( Otherwise I'd be wypt'ing...If you want I can try helping you to fix it (Quakenet IRC -> #soldat.mapping) later. It works fine for me on Win7, so it might just be a matter of some missing files that aren't included in the installer yet.

Hi, I'm new to the forums and haven't installed the game yet but I thought I'd introduce myself and tell you my story. I used to play a game called Mini Blast in my computer class in high school with some of my friends and it was real great fun. Until one day it mysteriously disappeared and after 7 years I have not ever been able to find a reason as to why it disappeared even after tracking the websites community down, no one seemed to remember the game. I stumbled upon this game when looking for games similar to TeeWorlds, a game I had found in my search which seemed similar. Soldat it almost exactly like Miniblast except with better graphics and from what I can tell, no parry system. That doesnt bother me though and Im super excited to play and just wanted to say thanks for bringing a childhood game back to me.The code itself is a mess, but we have a dev-team that are working on bug-fixing and code cleaning. We are close to a new version of the game, wich focus on fixing stuff rather then adding new features.
Also I was wondering how the game is coded? Just curious ^_^ See you on the battlefield

Also while these forums were regularily kicking me out for alts, I gained quite a remarkable reputation on Facepunch, as witnessed here (http://horobox.co.uk/u/foxconn_1400260303.png). ;v
I was put into a psychiatric/mental hospital for three months. Let me tell you, it was a reality wakeup call. BUT, the reason I was sent there was total horseshit. They gave me some rules to follow that I didn't know about, and after breaking these rules, and screwing around on Facebook, the police got me, and after it was discovered I broke the rules (/God knows), I was put on a whitelist for being sent to a mental ward in a hospital. Who knew you could get the police called on you from Facebook. /sadday.
But back to it being a wakeup call: I had a LOT of time to myself. It was kind of nice at first, getting to know other irate individuals who thought they didn't belong and were bored to tears, but after the first couple weeks, reality sets in. I learned a valuable lesson: NEVER be radically honest, except with very few individuals. I had like this motto related to being as honest as possible about my feelings and with every faculty of my life, but lo-and-behold, it can get people into trouble. Sooo, yeah.
The real bummer was that I was going through some sorta traumatic things, and instead of getting help, someone on Facebook calls the police. Ugh, the logic of some people. And this was after they hooked me up with the crisis hotline, which I called. But that same night, after resolving the issue and being helped, the police come knocking. Ugh. Yup.
But, I'm back! So who cares.
(prepare to have this message deleted because I'm self-conscious, and no one knows what I posted on Facebook so they can't have much opinion on the circumstances but... I believed the end of the world was nigh, so I found someone who was interested in chatting and basically laid it on them, that there would be mass suicides and people would be going nuts, HAHA, yeah, those days--it was just an innocent belief, which is why I posted it here, good and done with and all--I can lay it on this forums anyway)

Hah. I have the SF icon that goes to Active Topics in Firefox's bookmarks toolbar and I subconsciously middle click it every few seconds when I'm idling. I've been doing this since 2006.I'm not opening it so frequently but few times a day for sure. I have a set of bookmarks to different forums that I check everyday. SF is one of them, since the first time I've joined it.
I am using RSS feeders to get notified about when a new post was made.

Nah, I just broke a window out of some inane rage. It was almost considered a felony though, which would have sucked. Was taken down to a misdemeanor. Gonna get it taken off my record though in the end, so yay I guess.

I got a new computer recently, so now I can use my screen, mouse and keyboard properly. I'd like to play some on Leo's pubs and perhaps a few TTW gathers, if any of that will happen. CTF gathers 3v3 on tiny maps (read: standard maps) isn't really my thing.
In the meantime I play some Battlefield 3. Also waiting for Age of Empires 2 DE.

Nobody probably knows me here, but still. Started playing Soldat around 1.2.1, which was.... about 16 YEARS AGO - HOLY MOLY!! But after a long period of almost 7 years of gameplay, stopped playing and now, after 9 years of absence, decided to come back to do some casual time killing every now and then. But here is the problem: either I really suck at finding servers, or community has had a "Honey, I shrunk the kids" scenario and I definitely cannot find any more decent INF realistic servers, not even crappy ones. Where are they?! :(
Anyway, I used to play under the nickname Oxyd, and I was normaly found on Leo's realistic INF servers, usually on the red team, unless I get unlucky to be autobalanced to blue team. Spas12 [Spas] was my favourite weapon to abuse in 90% scenarios. Too bad reloaded shooting does not work anymore. ;D Since I decided to create my own little gaming channel on youtube, I thought that Soldat videos might be a great addition for an old fart like myself, who lost most of his skill, but can still cap the flag, so decided to play every now and then. Hoping to bump into some old players whom I used to play with, who knows, keeping my old nickname. :)
