well, i was using a training map, (aim_icypeak, if you must know) and so i turned sniper only on.. i used bots that dont use sniper as default weapon, but when i start the game, they slaughter me.. how do i make it so they will just sit there and slide?
-
Try this out (does absolutely nothing, perfect for weapon-testing):
-
just set the secondary gun value to a letter like x
-
Oh, so that's how... I've always wondered about that! Ha.
-
one more thing. how do i make like 10 dummys? i can only get 1 :$
i never use training maps, but im playing more r/s now and i need practice!
-
/addbot Dummy
//
//
//
etc.
If you write // it'll repeat the last command you wrote.
-
alright. thanks!
edit: they dont join... and they need to join delta. lol im an idiot :'(
-
There's /addbot[team number] [bot name] for adding bots to teams.
So in your case: /addbot4 Dummy
-
alright. thanks for all the help so far
barretard, here i come! :D
-
Lol. Just be on their team and have FF and use 1 shot kill guns. Simple. =)
-
Or, you can go into your bots folder, copy the dummy bot and keep pasting it in so you can select a lot of dummies in the start game tab. It'll save you the trouble of typing /addbot dummy, //, //, //, over and over again in-game. ;D
EDIT: Cool dummy bot Keron btw, never knew you could make bots do nothing... [retard]

doesn't that get a bug?
-
No. Typing // and then Enter simply repeats whatever command you put in last.

no I know that but having 2+ bots of the same name in the bot file. I tried it once.

But then what happens when a bullet passes through one and wounds another, setting him up against you?
-
Oh, sorry... I skimmed over your post and missed the quote. I don't believe that would interfere (haven't tried it myself actually), but the .BOT files themselves would have to have different names, of course. That's an interesting idea...

I've tried lining up a bunch of dummy bots and firing into them with a Barret, though all it accomplishes is killing one and wounding about three others. But, that's why we have mods, I suppose...
