This mod is intended to be played with realistic on, hence why this is a 'realistic mod'
 - Now its an optional switch between ini's

What Has Been Changed

A lot of the games aspects have been changed from the usual soldat that you play everyday. The weapons have been changed and they are made by Papasurf (i have requested permission to use them and i was granted), but many of the weapons have been modified till i was satisfied. The crossbow was originally make by Lord Ivan (permission yet to be granted as he has not replied) but has been modified a lot.

The weapons in this game all shoot with high velocity (for the added realism) and they damage A LOT. The weapons are all strong enough to kill with a few bullets (some one hit kills) and they shoot very fast. The bink and recoil is massive for most weapons and it will render your gun incredibly inaccurate after 2-3 shoots (more due to the recoil rather than bink). This forces you to shoot slowly or you wont hit anything since your gun will go crazy if you just hold the fire button down.

Another change is the weapon ammo. All primary weapons (except for the shotgun because you cant make it limited ammo) have limited ammo - you get only one clip for auto (use it up and pick up the gun your enemy was using). This forces you to use your ammo sparingly and shoot more accurately. Some of the weapons such as the ruger and the grenade launcher have extra ammo so you dont just get 4 or 1 shot/s before you run out of ammo. Secondary weapons do have unlimited ammo and the chainsaw has been converted into a taser.

Gosteks are from Papasurf's Neo Soldat mod with a balaclava replacing the punk hair (changable colours) and the Mr.T hair (Black balaclava with antiflash glasses - hardly noticeable but there is that little glimmer).

Here is an overview of the weapons:

[PRIMARY WEAPONS]

(P229R x 2)
You have 13 shots with this and they have a very decent ROF and very low recoil (Significantly better than the Desert Eagle in ROF and recoil but not in damage). They kill in two well placed head shots and 3 body/leg shots at medium range. Very easy to handle and kills swiftly. Only down side is the low ammo size.

(HK MP5N)
30 round magazine with a very high rate of fire. Accurate gun but recoil kicks in after about 4-5 shots. One clean kill (full health enemy) will use about 4-6 bullets depending on where you hit (all bullets hit - 3 bullets all to the head at point blank) but accounting for misses, this gun will run out of ammo very fast.

(Ak-101)
A very powerful gun with a 30 round magazine. Shoot very carefully with this gun as it has the ability to kill clean after 2 head shots. after your second shot if you hold the trigger down, you will find it going off target already.

(M4A1)
Nice versatile weapon, fast ROF (not as much as MP5N but considerably faster than AK), this weapon has good recoil that will throw you off after about 3 shots. Crouched or still, this weapon is very accurate and it has good damage.

(Remington 870)
This gun has UNLIMITED ammo - I can't limit its ammo in any way. It is very deadly close - mid range with a one hit kill but 2 shots for mid - long range and occasionally mid range as well. The pellets shoot out fast to comply with close-to-realistic speeds (but alot slower than autos) and thus results in a small spread (about the height of 3/4 of a soldat) and this make shooting a bit of a challenge for longer ranges. The time between shots balances out this weapon as most guns have a very good chance of killing a person wielding a shotgun from mid - long range and short range if they miss their first shot. 9 bullet altogether (8 spare and 1 in chamber), this gun is unrivaled in capable hands.

(Berreta RX-4)
This weapon has 10 shots and is a 1 shot kill to the head and the body (close - mid) but at long ranges it may take 2 shots. The fire interval has been increased to balance this weapon out and it has large recoil after each shot. Incredibly dead first strike weapon and can kill anyone cleanly if taken by surprise at all ranges. Sort of needs a degree of skill to kill somebody when your moving but other than that, this weapon is easy to use and very powerful.

(M-32 MGL)
A semiautomatic grenade launcher capable of firing 6 grenades with high velocity at a reasonably fast rate. Time between shots are long enough to get you killed in a tight situation though.

(OM 50 Nemesis)
The OM 50 Nemesis is a Swiss made 50 cal sniper rifle - made to shoot and penetrate armoured vehicles - but now we are gonna use it to shoot little soldats =D. Kills anybody in one shot anywhere to the body and comes with 10 shots (2x clip of 5 bullets). This weapons is a fast shooting sniper with about 1.5 seconds between each shot. However, if you get shot buy anything, it becomes almost impossible to kill anything. Accompany with Desert Eagle.

(FN MAG)
This weapon is very Very powerful and can kill from close to mid in 2 shots anywhere on the body. The inaccuracy however, makes this gun a challenge to aim with and the recoil is terrifying after 1 shot - add that to the large movement accuracy and you got a hell of a gun to use. I advise to click shoot for best results (probably for all guns) and the 50 bullet clip more than makes up for its inaccuracy. Slow rate of fire makes you a susceptible victim to the faster shooting autos.

(GAU-19/A)
Unchanged interface picture made my Papasurf and the most powerful gun in this mod. It will kill in about 2 shots or something, I cant see fast enough since it shoots so fast. This weapon can kill probably one person at a time, 2 if your lucky due to its monumental recoil (1/2 sec after shooting and its already uncontrollable, but thats long enough to kill someone already). The 100 bullet clip runs out relatively quickly since you waste about 10-12 bullets killing one person when 2-4 is sufficient. The start up time however severely handicaps you and will sometimes get you killed if your reactions are not fast enough.


[SECONDARY WEAPONS]

(IMI Desert Eagle)
Very reliable weapon but it is relatively hard to control if you are in a rush to kill somebody before they do. The damage if very good and can kill a person in 3 well placed shots. The recoil will be hard to maintain in a surprise situation but if you are in place to strike someone from behind, you can kill them easily and they should be dead before they have a chance to turn around and aim at you (that is if you go above them and shoot them in the head which is a 2 hit kill - shooting from above will also make recoil far easier to control). Overall a perfect secondary for any gun and can finish off nicely.

(Combat Knife)
Basic knife, a bit faster when it is thrown and as always, one hit kill if close enough.

(Taser)
A taser with a twist, it wont just shock you, it will kill you and very quick too. It has a longer range than a chainsaw and it shoots out an electrical spark. The weapon looks like a pistol and very nice for a surprise attack which you cant get away from.

(FIM-92 Stinger)
Longer start-up time than the original law but it shoots faster decreasing the amount you have to lead and increasing its range.

-I'm thinking of making this into an air strike weapon where you shoot 15 rapid fire laws into the air and wait for them to come down and bombard the enemy before the weapon is rendered useless. Give me ideas

[HOW TO INSTALL]

The "Tactical Soldat - no sfx.rar" file contains a folder with all the necessary files for playing. It is called 'Tactical soldat' and all you need to do is just drag it into your mod folder and and your done! Open up start.exe, select [Tactical Soldat] and click Run Soldat Modded.

To install the sound files, first download the 3 sound files attached and create a new folder in your mod directory called 'Sfx'. Then simply copy all the sound files into that folder and enjoy!

There will be no SFX in this release but will be when the new month comes (I'm capped atm and SFX adds 5mbs more to the file <.<)

SFX has been added =]
It comes in 3 parts, and you need to download at least the gun sounds (part1 and 2) and misc sfx will just make your playing experience that much more enjoyable. I recommend you download them all as they will be sex for you ears  ;) - some sounds are made by Mangled =]

I'm a Realistic Mode player and this far the best mod I've ever had. If only the shotgun/Remington 870 could be fixed in any way it would be perfect..

Looks interesting, but I highly recommand you to put pack everything in one file, and watch out for duplicate files.
Otherwise very few people will actually download your mod (including me).

The mod is indeed put together, but, i have done numerous modifications to them and only a few have been left untouched, something i will work on in the future. Balancing out the ini and this game mode was quite a task and that is probably the main part.

The interface menu is merely eye candy, the weapon sounds and the game mode is what you want really =]

A full package will be available at the beginning of next month.

[Edit]: and i should also mention that this is my HSC year and actually making interface images from scratch would take up too much of my time (gotta study!). I have made my own interface images before fore other mods and I will do so for this mod after the 5th of November. For the moment, my apologies Dairy.

The weps look nice.

Hentio Kisou and I are making a zombie mod, we are almost finished our first base pack, i was wondering whether you would like to try out my .ini settings, i sorta suck at making them but they work quite well, you can give suggetions and improve it maybe?  ::) It would be better if we have a pro check them out before release

Oh if it's so U don't have to apologyze ....I should. So I'm sorry. But anyway...It's still in my that I can't really take the "represent-others-work" ....but if u will finish it later at your own it's okay I guess.

@Dairy: No problems mate.

@TBDM: Ill try my best to make an interface and possible new gostecks, but i have no idea how to make explosion XD. The reason if choose the crossbow is because most of these weapons are used by the more elite soldiers of the world? The crossbow being part of the French paratroopers (don't underestimate it =] and most of the time you won't even know where the person who shot you was)

@Tempest: ill be glad to try out your ini and balance it.

w00t! Okay the .ini Dl is located a little lower on the page, they are meant to be very biased towards the gun players, but the odds agianst the zombies are a lot higher. http://forums.soldat.pl/index.php?topic=14805.from1180021936;topicseen#msg169885

Also if you could maybe make a few suggestions about the what the .ini for the other 2 game modes (ie: strategic and normal) should be, you can read more on the page. And THANKS!!  ;D

Actually you know what, these are the best guns ever. Seriously. The only one thing I really DON'T like, it's the crossbow. My favorate Deagles became a crossbow...Anyways, it's so good that it's doesn't really matter:P

Well, just to let you know, i've completed 3 guns in 2 days - the Nemesis, Berreta and now the PAW-20 'neopup'

i CAN get all weapons done in 6 days, but the quality just won't be good. The weapons i've done already aren't really up to my standards yet so i still have to work on them. So an update will be released in 6 days when my internet download limit resets. This will include everything in just one large file (sound and weapons have been replaced and slight changes in the .ini file to suit the new weapons)

Nice. So u're just "awaking" ur "sleeping" skills ? ...that's nice and good for the modding community. I missed high quality mods with nice modern (not futuristic) guns...that's just awesome. Heh and just for info I've just (from the moring) made 3 guns. I can show...

EDIT:Maybe I'm weird but when I have some free time and I'm in good mood .... I just start to mod ....look for a picture of a gun and working...just for nothing useable...nothing special....just with mind absolutly free I make a random pick of a picture ...Maybe I choose one which is most likely to me...and I start....I make it in few minutes or so... I dunno the time I'm just really enjoying the work on it....pixel by pixel...It's like "afrodisiakum". (dunno the correct form of the word in english - afrodisiacum - maybe) And If my mood is still good I just pick another picture and make another one....and another and another...then I just wake up from the modding "fury" ...and just - "Uf! Well. I made another bunch of guns which woulnd be used anywhere else than just like a harddisc space-eater in my crappy pc."

That's my story...

Heh, those guns are nice and u did them in such a short time =O u beast =D

I've just got to juggle time for modding and time for my study (this is the weekend so i try to crap as much as possible - about 10 hrs)

I'm just modding for the heck of it, and i want to get this mod finished asap so i can concentrate on my studies without a distraction.

[Edit2]: NEW weapon - Mk. 46 mod.0 (may look like the Mk. 48 mod.0 but its a complete remake starting from scratch - only the clip box is similar)

Dairy, it's Afrodisiac :D

I'm trying to make a realistic mod also, but it's hard to balance it right and don't ruin the gameplay. I'm the type of guy that likes really radical changes in gameplay but I'll try to present it the best I can.

Your mod is awesome. I'm reffering to the weapons.ini the most. Never really thought about doing that ammo restriction in that way you did it.

2 days till update. There will be a .rar file with everything in it and there will be another weapon replacing the Mk.46 mod.0 - the FN Mag and IMO it looks alot better. New weapons sounds for ruger, barret and shotty as well as updated reloads on all primary weapons (only clip out sounds, not the full reload). New weapon Ak-101, complete made from scratch but clip out line has been taken from papasurf.

Weapons.ini has been modified for some weapons due to unfair handicaps (and also due the weapon being changed)

Updates to come:

- Minigun replacement
- Stat Gun replacement (interface finished and perfected - i just can't get the bloody in game images to line up properly <.< Can somebody offer to help me?)

Some people resent the crossbow so if you have suggestions, tell them here or PM me.

There will be two weapons i wont be changing. The MP5 and the M4 as i have heavily modified both to the way i like it and they look and i personally dont have the time too look for a suitable weapon replacement and then do an interface pic. I'm working on an interface and the minigun atm and i got HSC coming up in a couple of months.

@Dairy i didnt change all and yes there are a few but only 1 is truely from papa's pack (minigun)

The secondary deagle is now silver and the baby eagles have unlimited ammo (for balance), are relatively fast shooting, 2 headshot kills (3 body shots), very accurate, low recoil and have 10 rounds per clip. They could also be called Jericho 941 F's.

Eh, they look nice, the triggers are a little bit strange, but I don't really like that weapon choice. Personally, I think you should go with a Sig-Sauer pistol (http://www.sigarms.com/Products/ShowCatalogCategory.aspx?categoryid=1). Those are pretty tactical and I can easily imagine someone dual wielding them.

I just have to say your mod is very nice. The P229R is very nice, D.Eagle is eigher...sorry if I was unfriendly on the start coz I really forgot your are a modding oldschool. I just love modern mods around here. Because there aren't many (and I can say that I didn't see any in last time) I was about to stop modding. You just see future crap here - future crap there.... I don't mind them because most of them are really nice. But even those ain't my cup of tea. (But I enjoyed playing some of them) And your style.....oooooow awesome, I was sick and tired of the "new-wave" of using the black line.... as a detail maker what's really weird for me. I like the black as a outline not as a rail through the gun...and then just a "classic" pixel shade...

...You made me feel like the modding community of classic modern guns ain't dead. I guess I'll cancel my retiration (dunno if I spell retire[d] like that ...) - maybe modding sleep ?

I'll do the nova, but not the M4 super 90 (pump action only please, this one is auto) and i will not do that FAMAS due to weapons-gfx problems as the gun will look retarded when the soldat is holding it (I've already made one - still got it but i hate it)

Name other weapons preferably weapons with out a great deal of things above barrel level (like FAMAS and XM8) as it's a pain in the arse to get it looking good in game (and it never will look good). I mean who the hell holds an assault rifle at their waist? <.<

Time Limit: 15 mins
Realistic: On (of course)

One hell of a challenging mode and its VERY fun (at least i think so =D)

Tell how exactly did you install it?

oh and i hope you downloaded the correct file (the one at the beginning of the post)

The easiest way is:

1) Install soldat 1.4.1
2) Copy downloaded file into a folder called 'mods' in your soldat root folder
3) Open start.exe
4) Select config and make sure the res is 640x480
5) Select Tactical Soldat and click run soldat modded
6) Enjoy

Holla if problem persists.

ok too get the interface working, first of all, download the update file, 199kbs.

after you done that, there will be a folder called 'custom-interfaces' which you drag into you root soldat folder.

when it says replace folder, select yes.

open up soldat, go to options, where it says custom interface or something like that (middle column), select Tactical Soldat.

start the game and enjoy =]

Go to www.rarlabs.com and download the free winrar install over there. Then install it and you can then recognize the .rar file. It is also a very useful compression program which you might find need of in the future.

Ok, that helps, but I have another problem. I installed it and it downloaded your mod just fine. But, when I add it to my existing Soldat file and run the game, the mod works great but all of the text in the game is all messed up...menus, options, etc....I cant see any of the text at all....any ideas??

First of all, did you replace original soldat files or did you just put it all into the mod folder?

If you put it in your mod folder, go to Soldat/mods/Tactical Soldat/Txt and delete default.txt

That should fix your problem, If not, Its your soldat that is acting up. If however you did replace original soldat files, reinstall it =]
and then follow my instructions in the readme.txt

Yes, I know but i want weapon-gfx, sfx, and weapon.ini for Tactical Soldat (I want the weapons to fit into Shirvorken's style so it looks right in the interface and weapon-gfx). But Dairy's interface's look nice.

Ok, sorry for not updating this mod, i've been busy lately with my Trial HSC. and now that it's over, I've given my weapons a make over, and i've added an HK-21e (minigum - the name is wrong in the screenshot)

I'm not completely finished with the aim of my blurry effect.

1) It makes the weapons look better (IMO)
2) It allows me to enhance the detail of the outer edges
3) This part is not done, but i'm tryint to get ride of pixelated edges and replace them with smooth ones.

So all in all its more for the practical factor rather than 'cool' factor =]

I can't believe I've been missing this for the past few days. This looks awesome. I love all the weapons, especially how they look. I'd suggest the Black Arrow for the sniper, but I'm such a fan of the Nemesis, it'd be pointless. Only out of place gun in my opinion is the RX-4, but keep in my mind, after I blow some fools away, my mind will probably change.

uh... I deleted my old version and downloaded the new one and I noticed that the Weapon-Addons flder is not in the new version. Could you convert those  into PNGs and place them into the mod in you next update?

Sif underestimate the crossbow! Its part of the French Spec ops arsenal!

It was actually dual p229r but i 4got to include it in this version i updated. Will do l8r but not atm (High school graduation exam in 2 days and stretches for a month).

Plus the crossbow also has an arc to it and it takes some time between each shot. Balances out with its large damage (leg shots don't kill!).

[Edit]: Pie, this is an older version of the mod. Has the P229r's as deagles and also has other weapon add-ons such as the DOA-12 (also deagle replacement).

A slightly opaque layer of black around the weapons and then i use the eraser tool with 68% opacity and 17% flow on it so even out the outline to a uniform transparency which is light and faint. All this is done with a size 1 brush tool. Don't use pencil! It is also all done on 1 layer. To make sure that the outer glow is nice and even, i place a white layer underneath the original so that i can see it clearly.

Do you plan any other updates with more sets of guns ? Or make another mod ? ....c'mon do something. This community of modders is abadonded and absolutly empty. And has got poor quality.

Guys like you made me to visit this forums often , made me to work ...it was almost a "magical" forcing ....and posting positive posts and made the soldat a funier game full of high quality sprites....this means nothing nowadays...

The only 2 guns I liked out of this whole modification was the remington and the DE. All the other guns sounded real weak or unrealistic for example the MP5, I was especially dissapointed with the Beretta ruger replacement.

Thats just what I noticed the most because thats what I always look for the most in games with guns, the authenticity and the power of the gun sounds.

I'm sorry let me acknowledge the other stuff. The weapon models were pretty good.

I liked the way the MP5 looked alot, instead of the 5k you had the A1 with the stock it looks good.

The remington is the best gun in the game, I love the way it looks + sounds.

I actually like the way the beretta looks but the sound of the gun is so ass, that it totally ruined it for me.

The Om 50 looks good and is a nice replacement opposed to the usual Dragonuv or Barret re-skin.

Sexy interface.

But this mod was ruined for me when the sounds didn't add up. I'm so so picky about my weapon sounds in every game that involves guns. It could be a Halo quality game that everybody loves but if I don't feel that euphoria when I pull the trigger I don't want to play it.

kk. I understand. You got the same picky-ness my uncle has for gun sounds XD. Unfortunately, I don't have access to sound files but when i get my 3k comp, i'll be gettin all sorts of game that can't run on my current system and hopefully, i'll get to rip some sounds frm them =]

The best way to get solid gun sounds I'm going to tell you a trick. You don't need those full games to get their quality sounds. Just download weapon skins for the games and they'll come with the authentic sounds. A good one is The Specialists Mod for half-life, their weapon skins have on point sounds.

With my style of pixelart, I have limited pixels to work with in my weapons. So to angle it without looking awkward was difficult XD

With "too small" I mean that when you throw a grenade the hurt radius is much wider that the image of the explosion.

Aw miss photoshop already... if you look at an explosion like this (http://www.relaxia.cz/galerie/nuclear/images/Nuclear%20Explosions%20%20Nuke%2012_jpg.jpg) you see some parts that are very light compared with the rest. I think yours could use some.

Lol. I've also fixed up the m79 in game and I've also just perfected the M4 CQBR in game image. Who Flung Poo is helping me with the M4 CQBR sound atm. It's gonna be one beasty weapon to use =]

Weapons stats for many weapons have also changed. More balanced now.

kk. I'll do it soon, I've got just 2 more exams left to go before I can put more time into this mod. Everything has been going at a snail pace XD

Very nice. As I see your package is getting bigger from day to day....heh. I wish you luck.

But the flamer's middle shading looks like something is lighting on it...or a light bulb made on it. Don't know how to describe.

Heh, I hope I will have such a good finishing too...as I'm already in finishing...

I see what you mean. It looks abit like a dull light is shining there, but my aim was to make like a metallic blue part for decoration but it seems to have gone a bit horrible. I'll fix that soon. But now. I've make a P228, dual.

The P228 is awesome. The uppest part is really nice metalic.

Hmm... to the flamer. I still can't get how the metal is supposed to be like that. I mean the color. It's more like the bright blue shading.

Oh its not the metal. It's just a completely different component like how some guns have different coloured grips and stuff. It not continued from the metal XD

Honestly, I just recognised the "holding thing" on the flamer looks weird to me. and the shading from the grey to that blue is weird to ....it's just me anyway. : \

Hi, haven't been on this site for yonks! Pretty surprised this mod got revived.

The reason u can't download is probably because the host has removed the link. I'll re-upload when i find the files again. Kinda moved on from soldat =[

The M4CQBR is in the download package, i think its in the 'extras' folder or something along that line.

After much digging, i have finally found the Mk.14 mod.0 which you have requested.

I don't think i have ever done weapons-gfx files for this particular weapon though, so you have to do them yourself if you wish to use this. Not that difficult.

I don't even have photoshop on my computer any more and I'm not at all good with MS Paint so i guess my modding days are well and truly over.
