Well, the problem is quite new and all. But the problem seems to be solved and the fix seems to work too for some people (except for me)
To solve the problem open C:\Windows\system32\drivers\hosts with notepad and add the following new line:
127.0.0.1 www.monsoonix.com
-
<FliesLikeAWork> no, put them both on the same line
<FliesLikeAWork> 127.0.0.1 monsoonixwhatever localhost
<JayBee> oh
<FliesLikeAWork> it has to be like that
<JayBee> k
<FliesLikeAWork> it'll get grumpy if you have multiple lines with the same IP
Edit: I think I won.

Something important:
If you already have a line in the file that starts with 127.0.0.1 you only need to add www.monsoonix.com to that line. Example:
If you have:
127.0.0.1 localhost
make it
127.0.0.1 localhost www.monsoonix.com
-
Works for me, but the file is in:
C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
On WinXP SP2
-
Why doesen't this happen to everyone? It seems like it would be something that every single person should have happen to

=)
(works at least at windowsxp with no local webserver running on it :))
Keydon posted that on the old forums, yes it works great. Actaully i couldn't find the host file until I got told to look in the "ect" folder. Good luck!
