what about in the next version of soldat, instead of jet boots, jet packs! i know everyone is OK with jet boots, but jet boots aren't that notice-able, which takes away some of the cool-ness. but with jet packs, you can see them, and there cool! :D just think about it! and possibly make them where they can take damage? at least give me a mod with jet packs! i got a question too. i remember seeing on the mod starter menu, a screenshot with soldiers with jet packs instead of jet boots. did soldat use to have jet packs?

I think it's good as it is right now. And also, you wouldn't able to see the weapon on your back when you switch to your secondary, would you?

I think jet boots are a part of soldat like the outreagous gore and big explosions. If they went to jetpacks, it would be taking a very large part of soldat away. F11

But I thought you want them to be noticeable. Plus you already can fly through the air, just with jet boots instead of jet packs. I really don't think it's worth for MM to add jet packs just because of your personal preference. And like LtKillroy said, it will take away some of the 'Soldat' feel.

OK. stick to having flames coming from your feet and never pay attention to them.

But soldat is about flying around and shooting people, not flying around and showing-off your jetpack as if you've just completed that mission on GTA:SA. You won't be able to see the weapon on your back (or at least it'll be harder too), and jet boots is a little institution of soldat! Having jet boots is cool as the soldats (soldaten?, Soldati?) look like normal soldiers, then they can suddenly jet up with their boots, with flames scorching the ground under your feet. Jet boots are part of Soldat's style, so taking them away would make it more bland and/or less original (not that jet boots are totally exclusive to Soldat).

Am I the only one who hates people using this single response without any backup evidence besides that it would 'Ruin the feeling of Soldat'? Seriously, what are we, neanderthals who, if given anything even SLIGHTLY more advanced than pac-man are unable to play because of undue complication?
That said, there are some actually GOOD reasons not to have it, mainly the covering of the secondary. Ruining the feel of Soldat just isn't one of them :P

aw no one rated yet...execept me. btw i dont get the ' feel ' of soldat jet packs. it wont hurt to make it come from his jet pack but theres no diff with it from his feet and his boots. people can make the wpn picture infront of the jetpack...?

lol, have a gametype where everyone has "jetpacks" instead of jet boots.
Everyone gets one primary weapon.
If your jetpack gets shot by a bullet, you blow up.
