Aside from my Soldat mod that I have going right now, I have decided to try something entirely new...
I am going to attempt making a TOTAL Soldat mod. One that not only modifies the interface-gfx and weapons-gfx, but the way the weapons preform as well, the weapons.ini file. The sounds will also be changed.
This mod is going to require several months of solid work to achieve decent quality.
Weapons I am planning to create:
1. Deagles --> no ideas yet
2. MP5 --> H&K MP7
3. AK-74 --> H&K G36K
4. Steyr AUG --> IMI Tavor-21
5. Spas-12 --> DAO-12
6. Ruger 77 --> H&K SL8
7. M79 --> Milkor MGL
8. Barret --> RSAF L96A1
9. FN Minimi --> RPK-74
10. Minigun --> no ideas yet

USSOCOM --> FN Five SeveN
Chainsaw --> Same
Knife --> Same
M72 LAW --> Same
Again, I am going to be researching each weapon, and measure its exact rate of fire and make a near perfect replica. I am also going to need some people to do volunteer beta testing for me, because the first version will likely be completely unbalanced. The realism of the guns may have to be sacrificed in order for balancing.
But yeah, just letting you all know ;)

Ok! Here is the first little preview!
I have only done the basics on some of the guns.
I have done the MP7, G36, TAR21, SL8, and the RPK74. The sounds for all of the primaries are ready to go as well!
I still have work to do, LOTS of work, but there's the basics.
NOTE: I'm not using a very good monitor for this atm, the colours and shading are nothing to fret about. I see them, it's just until I can grab a better monitor, I can't fix em.

We care. Make it :D
Anyway I mostly make my mods for my own enjoyment, not because I think they're what people want.
Make it for your own gratification as well as others.
The MP7 looks nicest.
If I must nitpick... I have to say that the magazine on the g36 is way too bright, it should be a similar brightness to the rifle to make it fit more and the SL8 is lacking in detail... the stock colour isn't much different from the rest, some contrast between the colours would make it look better.
