Who do you think are the "Most popular players" that everybody should know, atleast their names? And why do you think so?
Well, althrough haven't heard about him lately, i think "x" is one of the must-know players. I mean, look at his skills, dropping weapon and catching it in mid-air, then killing enemy with it... Overall, he is very skilled, and not many people are better than him, atleast IMHO.

Snowden is one of the greats. Along with Outcast, SoldatStriker, Blan, il'naDj, and Scubasteve. However its sad cause these guys arent as popular as they should be/once were.

For Soldat players that I like the most? Easily Toumaz, The Geologist and Chakra. Toumaz because he seems to always be able to answer people's questions and he made Fistbox, The Geologist because, well, he's just pretty fun to play with and he makes great maps, and Chakra because I'll probably get fisted if he's not on the list. He's also a good guy to have on your team.
Yes, I know Geo's in my clan, but I liked him before I joined.

Its not surprising clanners aren't well-known anymore. I'd go on but my extreme dislike for clans would probably put my foot in my mouth. No doubt Geo and Chakra are well known, for the simple fact they play public servers.

The Others: They are all very good and are a big group of..urm some sort friends :P they were al in Vd. (Vodka Drinkers, Knife Only clan)

what a bunch of bunk. I haven't been on this forum for like four monthes and the first thing i see when i come back is some sort of popularity contest or something. In abscence i've learned that not manifesting your ego on the internet results in a 100% happier human being. At least that was my experience. Be one person. Not one and then another in some virtual world.

I think all admins of the forum, admins of servs are popular(chakra, enesce, mar77a)
I used play INF and flent seems to be a pretty good player, but he isnt that popular outside of inf community
I play 1.3.1 survival heros server and there is a guy named zapashi, hes REALLY good with the barrett. Hes been banned from serveral servers because pplz think hes hacks.
Again, hes not popular anywhere else.

Well, some national teams have a different tag from the general country tag. Polish team didn't use [PL] so they differented themselfes from the horde of polak nabs who swarm the servers; us hungarians use .hu or ::RiA:: instead of [HUN] aswell. There are only a few nt members, and most of them don't visit publics ( minus for a few ).

Uk's tag (who beat hungary btw ^_^) is [UK], and i dont think i have ever seen anyone wearing one except our own players...

I used to wear a UK tag.
I used to think people from S and S and Elite Servers were the main guys. Pierre, Mochmbo, Eggo and the like. They are/were well known there but not elsewhere.

The forum admins are always popular. Same with a lot of the people who had roles in the game: EnEsCe, Leo, my buddy Avarax, Demonic, a lot of them are very recognizable.

Pubs aren't always full of noobs and ***holes. Pubs are where I spend my time searching for a good clan war. I find many decent clanners in my pubs.

Pubs aren't for retards. I find them the most enjoying out of everything. Occasionally theres 1 or 2 morons in there that like to spray their teammates with minigun, other than that they're great.

I don't think publics are full of noob players, sure there's a lot of beginners, but there's also some very skilled players.

Keep in mind that 'skilled' is not an absolute term. For someone who has never played clanwars, an occasional pubbing clanner might come off as a very good player - even if he's mediocre at best in clanning-standards.

Hmm...most popular players. I guess IQ would qualify as one of those. He owns a lot of servers and is a good TW-er, by his and some other people's standards. Along with that, I'd say jrgp is known by a lot of people for his scriptwork and mapping site and whatnot. But I don't know if jrgp plays a lot.
Hmm...who else? Ivel, maybe? Well, I guess he'd be remembered in bad name now, for I believe it is said that he went beserk on TMS (The Mapping Showcase). O.o;
Rawr. I'm having a hard time thinking of any really popular players, other than the ones I've heard of from Fracs, !Elite, and clanning. But I don't really consider any of those people actually popular. :\

Actually it's the contrary. I don't know about pubs but even though a lot of "veterans" quit, there are a lot of new players in the irc community.

Please join SCTFL. You will see exactly how easy pubs are in comparison to the Clan-World.

You're right everyone who is on IRC and play gather/cws came from the pubs, but the level on IRC can't be compared to the level on pubs.
If you don't believe I can propose you something :
Gather the 6 best pub players from here or pubs themselves and play against the top 6 clanners, if you win, then you're right... If you lose guess what?
