If you want music for soldat download songs of Machinae Supremacy. They are very good and fits ok with the war theme of Soldat IMO...

The sample is nice. Especially the start. But later it gets a bit lame.

And it has to be intense and loud, so that you could actually hear it over all the action.

Soldat need music from Frank Klepacki :D

One reason why I'll get Univers at War: Earth Assault.
Go to the website to hear some of it's music: http://www.sega.com/gamesite/universeatwar/fullsite/

I'd like to know what program you have to use to get the format that Soldat uses for it's standard bgm.

mod plug tracker or any other tracker can produce those

Soldat need music from Frank Klepacki :D
I love that industrial music from red alert series.

Hellmarch 1&2 FTW. And Grinder is also not so bad

Dang Hellmarch is really god, but Grinder fits Soldat better IMO.

Soldat needs System Of A Down!

Or Metallica.

Nah, soldat needs heavy-metal-techno like music. Kinda like Grinder From Red alert 2.

Soldat needs System Of A Down!

Or Metallica.

System of a Down = annoying as hell.

Anyways, the sample is about 6/10 on my scale.  It doesn't fit Soldat's style.  Soldat is about  carnage and hardcore action and explosions and stuffs.  This is a little too slow paced and quiet to belong in Soldat.  It seems like music that belongs in Red Alert.

And Frank Klepacki does pwn!  Red Alert 1 is my favorite RTS of all time.  The music = classic

I think we need some stuff like the music in Quake 2:
something like this:

Thats good too, but it could be a bit heavier.

Wouldn't this be good?

Perhaps!  All directions which are possible!  As long as we stick with techno/rock stuff, it's all good.  I really wouldn't mind something like this in Soldat (lil' bit of techy)

New Tech: one of my fave techy songs of all time.

Btw, these are from Starsiege, a game which Sierra dropped like a dummy >_<

The very simple solution to all of this:

Run WMP in the background  m/

yeah their should be more because the 3 original music tracks are the same, I hope in the next version they should add more variety

I'd drop Necromancide.
It sounds like a MIDI Version of some Goth-metal.

wellfirst u gotta think that MM will not put metalica in the game because he wont have copyright rights

he has to get songs that were made by people that he can use for free.... such as mine

Flacid Assassin?
Are you capable of making a fast-paced Heavy-techno-metal soundtrack?
That would rock.

The first one you made is pretty good, just not fast-paced Heavy-techno-metalish enough..

But how can you use it ingame?
As in how to convert it into either XM or IT format?

And what program do you use?
FL? Modplug Tracker?

Hmm...this thread reminds me a lot of mine (http://forums.soldat.pl/index.php?topic=14608.0), except that you supplied us with a sample of music. I like the sample myself :D

No, it doesn't. It takes a good bit of skill, it's just not the same kind of skill. With a keyboard, you need to be able to perform it at the right tempo, with this, you set the tempo you want, and you start creating. In FL, you have to be able to make it interesting as well as accurate. You need to make it sound non-mechanical, make it more human sounding. With the keyboard, all that stuff happens natually.

Ah, yeah, that's the beauty of it. You can use the sounds it provides. No buying an expensive keyboard.
Actually, FL supports keyboards, I believe.

Seeing as Michal Marcinkowski made the tracked files used as Soldat's music, it would be a little bit offensive to say "omg noez this is crap n u shud put in beter songs," IMHO.
I use the built-in MP3 player or the hacker's MP3 player, foobar2000 so I don't particularly care. You probably don't care that I listen to Cut Chemist and Daft Punk while playing Soldat. We've all got personal tastes.
Besides, I think that the current Soldat tracked files are okay. I mean, it's not like the stuff John Marwin did for Clean Asia!, but that's a different game theme.

Well guys, you must think about this:
There are some ingame tracks already, they are pretty good but maybe not everyone's cup o' tea and there isn't really much selection -BUT- That is one of the perks of registering. This is like asking to be able to change your booster colors without buying the game.
If you want more music, just pay the $15.
Title: Re: New Soldat Music
Post by: blackdevil0742 on September 01, 2007, 07:51:27 pm
It can be music that's only available for registered players.

Nonono, Fruity loops takes alotta skill to get used to the controls and helllotta sound modification tools.

Edit: WHOA :o.Just checked out M-Audio. Those things are effing pro.
Looks like you have to be a real musician to even USE those.
