Hey.
I think a good way to attract registration and make the game look nice is to make clothes and uniforms special for the members.
Like, maybe a tuxedo. I cant really make one because I cant put the white undershirt for the tuxedo. Or maybe a camoflauge suit. Would seriously encourge registration and make the non-registered jealious.
One other idea I would love is if I can preview my person on what he looks like so I dont have to join a game, look at it, then leave to change it.
Im not registered.
-
Well I'm all for it.
Btw, Ive already got a camouflage suit ;)
-
I suppose so. Kinda pointless, but not as pointless as, say, colored jets?
Don't see why not.
-
I vote yes, because more stuff for me and more money for michal. We are all happy :D
-
I...sup...pose...
More rewards for the registered!
-

Amen.
-
Gah, I would've been registerd a long time ago, but something got messed up. Yes, I guess.
-
How did you get a camoflauge suit SDFilms?
Anyway, i vote yes. As someone already said, whats more pointless than colored jet flames...

I assume he made his pants and shirt green.
-
I voted yes because I am registered.
And why not? There's only 3 or 4 things you get when you register, I think.
-Interfaces
-Jet colors
-MP3's
-Outfits?
The only problem would be how easy it is to get around having this feature without registering. Someone is bound to post the gostek images somewhere.
Maybe...
Maybe people who registered could have pretty alpha maps on their gosteks to make them glow?
That is an awesome idea. Somebody needs to tell me how to make bitmap alpha maps. Like right now.
WE NEED GLOWING GOSTEKS. NOW, DAMMIT.
Registered people need to be able to explode whenever they want, too. Kamikazi! Woot!
OK, maybe not. But I still voted yes.
-
Yes. I am not registered and I am considering it, and this would make a little more inclined to. :)
-
I would defintely regester if their were more benifits for members. THUMBS UP!
-
Thanks for the support. Think with enough itll get implemented?

Yea, I made my pants, skin, hair and shirt different colours (but fairly similar to each other) that are the average colour of the foliage. Although now that I use the minimi, I have it more for style instead of practicality.
-
.. Actually, if only you have the modified skin, doesent that mean that only you see your Soldat camoflauged? Thats how it works in most games.
But, i too have green shirt and pants for camoflauge. Sadly, in team your shirt is always red or blue, but it usually doesent affect it much. It must work pretty well though, most people dont notice me unless im firing and miss the 2nd time. Works even better now that i use the Ruger.
-
You could kill like hitman witha suit, get a knife and slit your enemy's throat. XD
-
I voted yes, i agree 105%
-
Yeah, i think this is an uber idea. Totally go for it!
-
No thanks.
-
supported entirely.
-
Michal Marcinkowski has mentioned many times in the past that the coding of soldat makes it extremely hard to edit anything to do with gostek - this is why he has never implemented bunny ears. I severly doubt this will happen.
-
I dont think thats hurt everyone so i voted yes.
-
its a cool idea, there is already something about viewing your gostek as you create, it was something made by the same person as polyworks. the special suits would be cool, i am registered, but colored flames isnt really that exciting. i would really like to see this idea, Putting in a tux would be good enough for me.
-
some people said no. and why not? its another feature to give members special treatment. Thats what MM wants if he wants a little extra cash isnt it?
-
I LOVE THIS IDEA! GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE!
-
Apart from what Stalky said, I don't know why there is so much stigma against adding new stuff. I'm not talking about vehicles because they just won't fit in with a game like Soldat, but more gosteks for registered players won't hurt.
-
I doubt this treats members special. If they want to be special, let them pay. Its more of an encourgement to register.
-
Well it will stop those embarrising moments when people on servers ask "why the hell did you register?". Plus it will generaly be a great addition.
-
This would certainly make me register. As it is now, I don't really see the point of registrering. 'Cept for support, ofcourse.
I say yes, give the 'members' all kinds of adds. It's a good idea.
-

"Because I enjoy playing the game, and the creator worked hard making it."
-
There's a soldat devoted to the game, eh? :)
Keep it up, me boy..
-
I think giving members more options is a great way to encourage buying Soldat.
-
Yes, why not

Aye!
-
Yes yes and yes some more.
C'mon MM, I WANT THOSE BUNNY EARS.
I would seriously pay $50 for this game..
-
Me too lol if somehow my soldat would've been deleted and only way i could've get it would be at a store for 50$ id go for it :0 .
-
I support this idea, and especially support the preview looks so you don't have to join a game to see.
I don't quite agree with a tuxiedo, isn't that just too james bondish. It would be an obvious ripoff.
But how about you can like go shirtless so you can look like a samuria with a blackbelt and robes, etc...
btw: I am registered.
-
Woo! Samurai! Or maybe Ninja, (*sigh* yes, or pirate) uniforms and people could see that you were a member without looking at the stars! But, i agree about the tuxedo being too James Bond-ish.
I'm registered too.
-
yes all the way!
regesterd
-
I think this support To register aswell.
-
I don't know if this would fall under the problems Michal has with the coding of Gosteks, or if he would just be able to code them in as bonuses. Both ways, I'm for it.
I hate to say this, but I feel as if Michal has pushed aside Gostek's for too long, and should get around to them sometime.
-
i say maybe because, as i look through the mods section, i favour the regular gostek over all, and i dont think anything would change my mind. BUT i guess you would be able to change between the two at will.
-
How did you get a camoflauge suit SDFilms?
by moddin the gostek......it's easy i've done it already you can d/l it at soldatmods.tk
It's called Urban Soldier
As for the topic go for it i always like seein new things for soldat
i registered bout a year ago and it's great i recammend it
-
As I said on page 1, I used the Soldat Skin Colour Changer to make everything the average colour of the bushes, so it realy does work as camouflage. I still wear the camo suit even though I have stopped camping ages ago as I use the Minimi.
Maybe I could make a gostak to make myself look like how I look in my comics, with the suit being loosely based on a German sniper coat.
-
.. Actually, if only you have the modified skin, doesent that mean that only you see your Soldat camoflauged? Thats how it works in most games.
Will someone anser this? i wana know!
-
i'd like there to be a Ninja outfit with like, black and/or greyish shirts/trousers, with a red belt with the face mask maybe? that'd be awsome, and maybe even have like a sword sitting in the belt!!! and even spiked vambraces like the fella in my avatar!
-

No, other people can see your skin as well. Just go play in a server for a bit, you'll see someone. It isn't like a mod.
And i support this. If MM put in a Kangaroo...OooooOoooOOOooooo.
-
I voted no cause people who make skins for mods can easily make one like the registered one, plus people who dont pay 9$ and use the register key they get from hacking forums they would just do that..
-
Not cameoflauge. It would give you an advantage over non-registered users game-play wise. This isn't an RPG. I already HATE the fact that you can turn your head invisisble. But I would like to atleast choose from a few different outfits, rather than making your own (make your own could lead to... bad results). And some more actions for registered players, like a little dance or what not for a taunt.
-
Does it matter, I know how to get interfaces even though im not registered. It would be pretty easy to find the gostek images, wouldnt it?
-
I reckon it'd be good for the gosteks to be seen on the net. BEFORE you flame for already being suggested, read this:
1) There would be only set, unchangable gostecks. This would eliminate 'invisible' or 'obscene' gostecks.
2) Only reg. users can use them
-
I love this idea...ID BE A PEAR WOOT!11

Like I said before, you can already make great camouflage, although its not textured or shaped.
-
Isn't this basically the old online gostek downloading idea without the effort of actually making a gostek?
-
Kind of, more along the lines of MM adding objects in to wear like top hats, bunny ears, etc.
-
MM doesnt add Bunny ears at all!
-
Whats the point of most of the threads here if the awnser is 'MM won't/can't do it'?
-
I'm all in favor of extra features for registered users. Perhaps their could be more game types, or even a story mode ;).
