To install older scripts with the latest version of the dedicated server, all you need to do is create a subdirectory of the scripts folder, and move all the PAS files and the includes.txt from the script you want to install into that directory.
Recently released scripts are supposed to be released in ZIP format, with the subdirectory already set up so you can easily drag and drop from the ZIP file into your scripts folder without having to do the above.

Thx that really helped.
-
Thanks

so i make a nother folder (where though) and put 'scripts' in there?

No; the server already has a "scripts" folder; you need to make a folder inside of that folder.

ah ok ty

Something I didnt think was obvious was that the file includes.txt should contain the names of all scripts you want to run with the server, that is, simply the names of all scripts on separate lines..
-
something I didn't think was obvious, is that it isn't the dedicated server that comes with soldat

I do realize that, but is it possible to run a script on regular Soldat? I'm pretty much a n00b at coding or any of that, and it looks fairly difficult to me to set up a dedicated server. I basically just want to be able to run some of the scripts available for download in offline games or maybe online games with my friends.
-
Yes, no problem at all, there is actually a post about exactly that from some time ago.... ah! there:

Thanks, I'll give that a shot. I guess I'll still have to tough the server setup, or I might be able to get a friend to help.
-
Where's the Script folder I need to put the script folder in?
-
script folder for script folder.. lol
that's too easy, you are probably searching for it in your soldat folder, you will need a dedicated soldat-server to run scripts. then:
./soldatserver/scripts
make sure the scritp itstelf (.pas) and the Includes.txt are in a subfolder in this folder
-
Got it.
-
how do i make it into a .pas file ciz i just coppey the scroip and past it in a txt document...is that wat im supposed to do
-
Rename it...
-
i dotn think that works? does it?
-
It works.
-
so i rename it <scrip name>.pas?
-
yes
-
and don´t make the script name too long otherwise it won´t work.. Forgot how many max characters it can have
-
I believe you need to have (using windows) to show the file extension to change the extension to .pas
any folder > Tools > Folder Options > View > somewhere in there...
-
i play on v1.3.1 and i cant find the folder.
pls help
-
Don't use scripts for 1.3.1. Really.
(You'll need the soldat server 2.5.4 - not the dedicated server that came with Soldat.)
-
ty ill try it.
-
I'll try it to.. ty dude.
-
it doesnt load the scripts. what now?
-
There's not much help to find for old servers, and I don't remember how it worked. Also, the scripting before 1.4.0 was rubbish so you should just move up to 1.4.2.

in the dedicated server folder. You'll need to download the dedicated server from here: http://soldat.thd.vg/en/downloads/
(2.6.5 if you want to use it with the current stable soldat version, which is 1.5.0)
-
Can you add image? The person (who can't speak English) can't understand.
-
Even if your English is terrible, you will be able to just look at the content of the folder and search for the term 'SCRIPTS'. Even if it was written in Chinese, you would still be able to find it once someone showed you how 'SCRIPTS' is written in Chinese. How hard can it be to open your eyes and look for the term 'SCRIPTS'? I repeat, the term is 'SCRIPTS' and it is inside of the 'SOLDATSERVER' which you downloaded. Put all 'SCRIPT' files that you want your server to run into this 'SCRIPTS' folder. Please note that the folder's name (-> 'SCRIPTS', that is) in the 'SOLDATSERVER' folder is written in lowercase. All uppercase letters you read were meant to help you find the 'SCRIPTS' folder without making us make a red circle on a screenshot of the 'SOLDATSERVER' folder to not make you feel like an idiot once you found the 'SCRIPTS' folder.
Long story short:
1) 'SOLDATSERVER'
2) 'SCRIPTS'
3) '?? ?? ??'
4) 'PROFIT!'
