Title: Spectator HUD

As you all know when you are a spectator your Hud desplays as
Full health, No weapon, Amo Bar full and jet bar full

No matter who you are locked onto why'll being a spec. your hud will never change.

My suggestion is that whoever you are locked onto it should show their exact hud. Like the amo,gun and jet they have.

Therefor your Hud should show that since your locked onto that specific player as a spectator. Instead of showing the deafult spectator hud.

This is a good idea because you know what that players' status is. How much health,amo,grenades and jet they have.

Betatesters have allready considered this..

And what was the result of their consideration?

I'd like to see this implemented. There is some potential for abuse, though, with spying, etc, although if anyone has a problem with it, they can always remove spectators from CWs, etc.

It's implemented in the upcoming version, but only for testing. No conclusions have really been dawn so far.

And how so, about the abuse I mean?

Sure. If there's something to whine about they will. But spying is a potential issue either way, htis isn't really changing anything there. People will just have to accept it. Not that I think there's going to be a problem with that. They're gonna love it.

Well I know I'm gonna love it. :) BTW, will it be included in demo playback, or just realtime spectating?

yea. the problem people spectators helping other players could be a problem. but you just not have any spectators

I heard you're able to change it on and off at the server settings. And it's realtime spectating, since you're able to demo it anyway..

But are you able to see your mates health and gun status on respawn (on normal games) and while waiting for the next round (on survival)?

yes but with this rule:

when playing on any type of team, you die, and spec someone while waiting to respawn, you can only view your team mates health in real time, viewing other team heath appears as it does now.

when in spectator team, its real time for all players

F12, but then they should add the option that other othe team players cant see that of people on the other team, it would give away way too much info(I think)

i don't understand you guys are saying if your spec. you should only be able to see only your teamates hud? is that it because if so, when spec. you don't have a teamate. You can view everyone. No one is your teamate or opponent

Actually what i think your saying. if your not this is a suggestion...
Seeing your teamates hud will your in a respawn time. is that what your saying?

Get it? When you're a spectator, you'll be able to see everyone and their weapon, health and jet status.
Whwn in any other team, alpha, bravo, charlie or delta, you'll only be able to see the status' of people on the same team.

The issue of players helping other players is allready at hand, Xaero. It will be just as much of a problem with this thing enabled as it has been without it - no more, no less.

If everything we did was public, there would be no need for us in the first place, now would there?

It doesn't matter if you thought of it or not. Just because you aren't the very first to think of it, doesn't mean it's not a good idea. In fact, i seem to remember someone posting about this waay back in the old forums as well, but that could just be me. So dry your eyes, little girl, things will work out in the end.

You are one stubborn little feck. Get it into your head: this entire thread basically had no effect on the final decision of the beta testers's decision to implement said idea, because you didn't not origionally come up with it. I can't get any more black and white than that.

And since when has the beta ever gone public without it being hijacked and uploaded without proper consent?

This public beta release is just a way to test the public response. I don't think it's ever been done in Soldat before, so it's pretty much just to see how you guys will react. Besides, it's not 100% public. Betatesters will be testing it for a good week or so before letting it out, just to rule out any major flaws, you see.

But i thought of it on my own, and i hope it does work out good

Agh, I added this feature because I had always wanted it since the day I started playing Soldat; which obviously was before this thread's existence. All features are credited to "the community" not to an individual/thread.
