Interesting small addition, basically, select one key that when held down, if you touch a flag it simply won't pick it up. I'm not sure what the key would be, maybe a combo. I believe this could be of use for some advanced tactics and really easy to implement.

The only reason I can think of is camping on the enemy flag without announcing that the flag has been grabbed. Pretty lame imo.

Here's an example; you go through the flag without picking it up (thus, not letting the enemy know you're on it), but pick it up once you're facing the escape direction at a more decent speed. This saves you from having the go round the flag to not grab it on the first movement. (Sorry, kinda hard to explain, hope the image helps):

Oh, now I understand! That would be nice indeed. But IMO having a some key for it is a bit complex way, though I see no other/better ways of doing this.

While it does seem like an interesting addition, I think it's unnecesserarily complicated, so no. Maybe if that key were the down button by default, so a crouching player couldn't get the flag.. still, no.

Maybe you should think more about your approach, come up over the flag, gain some speed then take it and run.
It would be cool if there was a sprint key but that had to be suggested before.

I think that would be better. Or maybe a key to toggle the ability to take the flag. And also, the same should apply to the flag belonging to your own team, sometimes it's a good tactic not returning it.

If you don't want it to be returned, then don't run over it. :p

omg this would solve somany problems for people who use predator and or are rushing somneone and dont want every one shooting you because you have the flag
