IMO this mod makes the minigun as effective as other weapons WHEN PLAYING ONLINE. In single player will be overpowered though.

This is supposed to be in Weapons Balance discussion.

Errm... do you know that in Soldat 1.5, the bullet register for the minigun in particular will be worked on and fixed? So making a mod just for online use isn't really necessary.

And that would be highly overpowered anyway.

Man what are they thinking, making the minigun as effective in combat as the other weapons? Does anyone really want to play on servers where 5 people are using the minigun? Atleast the baretters will be pissed off about it I guess ;P

Will ideally only be 5 people using it if there's 50 people playing. Risking buffing minigun to the point where it could become overpowered would KILL Soldat. Therefore, if there's doubts in its design, it'll be made slightly weaker than the other weapons to avoid that risk, and perhaps given another buff in a later version if needed.
