My (Hopefully) favorite game: Timesplitters had a cool interface in number 2 and future perfect but in number one there was a unique (Sorta?) interface that was bland as hell... And i recreated it! ;D here is my first interface (don't think that's an excuse it was really easy!) so pick it up on my filefront page:http://hosted.filefront.com/Timesplitters32/ and here is my screenie, feedback if needed :P

I really like your grenade icons. I think you should take that green border off the third bar down from the top. (It doesn't look like it's intentional, looks like it might be your graphic editor flushing colors together, from Soldat's transparency color to other shades of green.)
oh and btw, I absolutely love Doom too :)

You kinda didn't align the blue bar to the green bar?

the grenade icons and the jet bar were default when i put the resident evil mod on my copy of soldat so give credit to him for the grenades and the jet bar (3rd one) the rest i made myself. Oh and it's nice to see another doom fan :)

well it isn't easy aligning!

I'll tell you something: I've never made a single interface, and I'm sure that you are able to make thousands of times better than I am, but there's one but... You gotta see, that if you're doing something, do it well.

If you only tried harder, you could do it.

I know it's based on a real interface, but you could have made it more... lively.
Also, what did you mean by I was kidding? Didn't really get you there, chap.

Perhaps don't make interfaces based on interfaces that are already bad?

[sarcasm]huh! i didn't think about that![/sarcasm] i wanted to make a timesplitters interface and that was the only one i could do without screwing with advanced files

Hunh. what does that mean?

You should look at your interfaces, they are "advanced files" as they used alpha transparency, have special placement settings, and are much more advanced then a strait line that is merely 1 solid color.
Not compliment.

I thought he meant "advanced files" as in stuff that's standard. Not sure if he was referring to PNGs, since they're not really supported by Soldat. By that I mean, Soldat reads PNGs included in the interfaces, but from my tests, they only work if their corresponding BMP file is there, and that when the SIF file was saved, that the BMP was the same dimensions as the PNG you want Soldat to read. Since PNGs would be kind of "unofficial add-on files," I assumed he wasn't talking about them...

You have no idea whatsoever about what I wrote there, right? If you don't have an idea of what I was talking about then maybe it would be prudent to not misinterpret it. You could answer my original question so someone might be able to help you out a bit.
