Title: Setting up my server?
Post by: Talix on March 24, 2008, 07:06:23 pm
I forwarded my port, I think.
I started the server, but I get the 9999 ping error, no one can join.
EnEsCe's server tester doesn't work. Sorry if I spelt the name wrong.
By not working, all the tests fail, so my server is down.
I use linksys, I logged in via 192.168.1.1 and added Soldat1 and 23073, but I guess that didn't work.
Please help. Thanks.

Read this (http://wiki.soldat.nl/Port_Forwarding).

If you did forward the ports correctly, you must make sure that a firewall isn't blocking the Soldat server and that the server is actually running while running the enesce port tester.

This is more or less how your forwarding should be setup; I'm running DD-WRT instead of the normal Linksys firmware so it won't be exact.

Also, if you have multiple routers, or a router and wireless access point, or you have wireless internet, or your modem supports NAT, you either won't be able to host a server or you will have to do extra setup.
