Title: I decided to completely redo my Soldat site
Post by: jrgp on March 30, 2008, 02:15:58 am
jrgp's Soldat (http://soldat.jrgp.org)

It's had the same design, code and content for almost a year. I decided it needed to be refaced. I couldn't really think of anything interesting for the layout so I chose an extremely easy to read and navigate generic design. I also removed the Shoutbox because was almost never used.

What do you think? Should I change anything?

Some colour?
It looks extremely boring right now.

Yeah, that's the thing. I don't know how to make it un-boring. I can't decide on colors. Any color-related suggestions?

i've got one... pick out your fav. color and when you color it start w/ the dark color then to the light then to the lightest..

i guess there is some connections here in coloring my graffiti

Btw, blend colors... its ugly when you pick the color that not blends on the color you pick

I think the words he's after, are shading.
And use some photoshop/gimp techniques there ;) you need a logo, some decent layout, and then your cooking :)

I Use This (http://www.colourlovers.com/)

I have never found a color pallet that works well with a website. I think those are intended for print design.

I respect you sir for making a simple, clean design.
