Title: Weapon Sound Files and animations
Post by: The Bone Collector on April 13, 2008, 07:30:17 am
Ok, so I was mucking around with a few of my mods today, testing and such. And I was thinking "Weapons need seperate cocking/slide pullback sounds and animations". For instance, I pull out the socom... I wanna hear/see (or let it appear) that the guns slide is being pulled back (so it can be fired). This wouldn't mess with gameplay in any way... it would just improve the quality of the game.
Other examples, which modders could use this for... is when the gun is pulled, the sound indercates laser aiming (like I use in my mods) being turned on or activated. Or, maybe to mod all sounds to "Lock and Load... baby". In my opinion, all this would do is require soldat to point to extra sound files for each gun.

Hell, you don't have to mess with the original gameplay/weapons and their sounds... just allow support for modders. More customizable options is always welcomed :)

I hope that was understandable.

for ussocom , to pull te gun out takes time ... for keeping the time from today it would move super fast to his pants pocket to take it.. ...many of those ideas are not good

@Mx7: What?

@TBC: I thought there already was a reloading sound? and to have the sound of the slide going back, put it on the end of the shooting sound, with appropriate delays.

Gun animations would be nice

Even if soldat did, i don't think MM released the animation editor.

There is an animation editor now but not by MM I think, known as POA Editor.

Anyway, this thread was bumped from April...
