It's looking nice.  Fix the butt on the LR-Rogor a bit, make it lookie more like a rifle one maybe?  thats what I think

F80 is dark, especially next to the bright orange.

XZ-21 is great ;)  Good work so far.

Good luck on your mod!  Whats with the name of it tho?  I hope you are going to have camo gosteks :) lol

Thanks, there will be tonnes of adjustments though.


F80 is dark, especially next to the bright orange.
It was lighter, ive done about 3 versions and that one is the best looking (imo)

Orange stripe on the Muli can be dimmed a bit near the back bit; currently the really flat orange makes the back of the gun seem kinda... "open-assed," I guess you could say.

ROGOR looks great, don't know why everyone says it needs a better stock, i like it...+with a more longer, not rounded stock it would look to much like a modern-day rofle and the normal ruger...i'd keep it as it is. it looks a bit weird, but still verry nice.

-Abit off the orange on the F80
-Re-coloured the but off the rogor, hardly noticable
-Made the Ashut
-Done some work on the XZ
-Added EMI

If the red bit on the front of the XZ is a red light, make it's glow out a bit more.   Seriousley, fix the orange on F80

Looking very good so far. I like the EMI a lot.

Maybe the problem with the Rogor stock is how it looks a little too rounded and should be more square-ish, but my eye is untrained, and I don't know what the real thing looks like.

Keep the square stock. It's what makes the Rogor a Rogor and not your ordinary wooden-stock rifle. Don't listen to those people who can only accept convention.

As for the Raptor gun, the orange bit looks like a brass pipe that you would find under the kitchen sink :P  And the body looks like a large clump of aluminium =/   But it's nice to see you changed it since then :>

Do you just use photoshop on your guns?  or just for some of the effects or what

I use PS, but all my weaposn are done pixel by pixel, if I need an adjustment i'll ussally do it myself, or use the curves tool/contrast/brightness tools.

Will post an update at the end off the week, then in my school holidays I hope to get a fair bit done.

Im not making it bigger, overwise when you kill someone with it, i'll overlap the right side of your screen. 46< is as big as it gets, but iver already increased it's size :Z...
No sounds atm, I'll do those last, or around then :D.

The Rogor stock is an improvement. Overall, still loving the sheer detail on the things. That and the small fixes you've been making show a lot of dedication.

Anti aliased i think that is not glow, is make outlines more 'soft' so it dont looks like a normal line, its like a little glow
if you want to make it, delete the outline and add it again with a program like photoshop or paint.net

spas dont look so bad, try a 2px barrel, or have a cone shaped muzzle on the end xD

Sniper rifle is OK, but you should maybe, since the other guns are so large, make it a compact sniper rifle.  Like the UZI in killzone.. :P  re-arrange parts and take paarts out and just feck around with it until you have something like that.

Ok i'll say what i think:

You should work a bit more on some shapes. Specially on stocks.
I think that the pistol's handle is too big. ZX-25 is perfect IMO and the same with LR-Bogor X

EDIT: I don't say anything about shading, its really nice

Oh right, and the problem with your shotgun is that there's no way to hold it. Think about it. :)

Otherwise keep it as is... just figure out a way to make the grip and stock work.

Yeah, having alook at al lthe sizes and shapes of all the guns, im going to fix. Like wtf, spas is bigger then the sniper, no idea what I was smoking. Im'a completly re-make the spas, make the hk smaller and probaly add a pixel or two on the sniper.

Actually forget what I said right there, the sniper rifle overall shape is fine. Keep the shotgun barrel but redesign the stock to be more compact so you can pull the muzzle back and have the gun be shorter.

Dude, im making sure none of my weapons are over 46 px in width, so they dont overlap on the kill bar. You don't need huge ass mother fuckin' weapons to add textures and details.


And yeah esp, I've done seem fixing up of the weapons, I'll post a preview up later.

Dude, every weapon doesn't have to resemble the size of the 'great' soldat enhanced.. Yes, if you read back a few pages some1 suggested it to be a compact sniper rifle, I changed it.

I don't want my weapons that huge.

Well not much is changed...

I see how you canged the sniper rifle but in my eyes, it's smaller than the rogor. which is why I suggested to change it.  Anyway keep working on them, as for the handle on the DEH-7 use the handle you had on the second one you made, Esp just copied the old one and improved it without considering the handle..

Dont you have to leave the magazine out of the in game pic and have a seperate image for the magazine anyway?  so that he takes the magazine off of the gun when he reloads it, the reload animation actually does that o.0

While you have good shapes and colors the oly thing I can suggest is to add some *bling* *bling* to some of the metal parts to get that shine effect and make the guns stand out.

Just make the light part for the Mini replacement a bit more dynamic, as in, there's a value change as it goes form front to back. Same with the orange accent on the Muli. Dunno about you but the spas grip still looks a bit uncomfortable to me. I say thin it out a bit -- doesn't have to look like a real grip [think Rogor-style].

Spas replacement failed. Even though Minimi is dithered, you only dithered one color. Old one was better. Honestly, if you were trying to echo the Rok style so it didn't feel alone, change the Rok then instead. Muli-style goes better with the other weapons. I suggest making Steyr more like MP5-style and Minimi back to the original one you had. M79 isn't too bad, but needs some darkening to show off the round cross-section of the barrel.

Ok, I've had a setback.

I'm going to re-do the WHOLE thing, only keeping the rogor, muli and rok. Since they were the orignal weapons, and I wanted the whole mod to be that style i'm going to change it to, that style. The orange strip will be gone on the muli, I'm thinking off making it the wooden texture that is used on the rogor.


As for beta testers, I just need some to test inagme gfx, and someone to make a weapons ini for me (I have no idea how). Gostek I'ma have ago myself along with the interface. I might need a fair of help for the sounds.

Okay, I can understand that the Rok is "cool" but if you really want to go the style, the 3 you want are Rogor, Muli and the XZ. And since you'll be keeping the Muli, also keep the original Minimi. The DEHs were stylish but I guess they do kind of stick out, eh?

The AK replacement itsnt very good though, it kinda looks weird.  It, and the Baz + ruger are the less stylish of the group imo.

I dont see really how you are supposed to hold some of them, the minigun especially, if the hole in the stock is supposed to be used for grip it really doesnt work like a huge fearsome bullet storm..  but with the current uselesness of the gun in soldat I suppose you could get away with making it more SMG like xD

Im just gonna bitch at how you put the 'F1' in front of the Muli's name.  I reckon it should stay as Muli-F1..  but meh.  and as for 'Holleh'.. just lol. :P

Most of the weapons have that "wooden" look about them in terms of colour.  I guess you could get away with that but it kinda drags the mod along.

I love the new shotty replacement, looks like a Prancor Jackhamer crossed with a Famas, try making a metalic version like the colours of the XZ and Muli

thats really all I can think of, but I dont think this mod is to my liking :{  I guess I like the black instead of orangish wood colour.  I mean they all have metal parts but most have wodden stocks or bodies, thats why I think shotty need re-colour.

You didn't have to make it conform. The Deagles stuck out in the default weaponset so it's okay if the DEHs stuck out. That's to day, i liked the original barrel textures more. While you're at it, I think the grenade-launcher-like gun in your signature is a better replacement for the M79. Just having those two guns different will be fine.

Too bad the mod is gone. Weapons look interesting and original, not just another remake of SCARL or yet another version of AK.

Though IMO there's a bit too much dark and not enough contrast, so it's very hard to see the details. All I see is lots of dark and a little bit of orange. Have to look really close to see the rest. I like how different the shapes are though.

I really like the style of these guns, their details and color make them pretty unique. Almost like these are some experimental future prototype weapons for aliens of some sort.

This can turn out as a very cool mod to play with. Just make sure the guns have a good bang and feel to them ingame.

Hm. Shading is a bit weird. It's hard to tell whether it's flat or round. :S
Handle looks a bit too thick, and IMHO that front part (on the right side) would look better if it's rounded on one side and flat on the other (doesn't matter which, as long as it's not round on both sides).

Sure it is a 2D sprite. But the sprite is an illusion of a real gun. A sprite looks flat, if you use one or two colors for a gun (metal, wood) it will look flat, if you use many colors it looks round and you used colors in a way that it looks round.

I'll try to be more specific.
Left (orange part) - it looks round because top is bright and it smoothly fades to dark, which creates an impression that it's round like a bun. Since it's a rocket launcher, I guess it's ok for it to be round, but the orange color makes me think it's made of wood which is normally what stocks are made of. And stocks are flat. Confusing.

Middle - You have shading go like this (from top to bottom): highlight-shadow-highlight(same tone as the top highlight). This kind of shading is weird and doesn't create the impression that this part is round.

Right - it's much more matte comparing to middle. Highlights are almost unnoticeable. Isn't it supposed to be part of the barrel in the middle? If it is - it should have same shading as the middle part.

By flat/round I meant this (pic #1 and 2). IMO it just looks better than if the tip is rounded from both sides (looks like a doughnut (damn, I need some food)).
I also did some changes to the shading and shape to show what I mean (pic #3)

I personally just think its awesome. I like whats going on here. And i would like to see more so i can tell for sure. lol! Looking forward to this thing. Been into this topic quite a few times. Now that there is new activity i tought i would say... Awesome.
