It is the year 2057. The world has fallen into two massive nations, the OEA (Oceanic - European Alliance and the ESA (Eurasion Star Alliance).

New Update: 15th of December


I got the new computer! The maps are dead, and I have to resart them, but I have all the weapons. I'm working on two mods right now, so look out for the topic I will post once I've got three or more maps done for it! I am now back and ready to mod, so expect mroe updates for this extremely un-anticipated mod! Weapons look better, not as ugly now.

I'm making the explosion now, they are delicious PNG, instead of ugly BMP.

New Update: 5th of September

Well, You may have noticed that this mod has "died". Well it hasn't, I'm very keen of working on it, unfortunately, My computer is silly and freezes every ten seconds. So I am not continuing the mod until we get a new computer. (That's why I started the "Build Me A Computer" tread in the lounge)

I have made newer weapons, which look far superior to the weapons shown here. The maps are also underway still.

Sorry about the delay, but it's not all my fault!

Timeline:

2020: The EU is renamed OEA with the welcome addition of Australian and the other oceanic countries.

2023: With rising oil issues, China and Russia unite to stay safe from the increasing number of hostilities towards the worlds oil fields.

2028: America goes to war with the wrong country. Believing Iran to be holding massive oil deposits, America invade, only to find that their wasn't and oil deposits.

2032: Terrorists attack and destroy billions of oil barrels, causing America to receive very very low oil barrel deposits.

2035: America has fallen into depression. Anarchy is in the streets. Without sufficient oil, the country is lost.  Without sufficient money and soldiers, the American government flee from the country, leaving it to rot. The anarchy that ensues destroys the country. The land is now free.

2050: The OEA Decide to occupy The Northern part of America, where they build a civilisation and try to help the survivors of "The Oil Depression".

2054: The ESA launch a massive operation to take the southern half of America, and send in the 2nd ETF (Eurasion Task Force). In the centre of it all is a few oil fields, and some rich soil.

2056: An OEA refinery is attacked and oil is looted from the large deposit. The ESA claim to have nothing to do with it, but the OEA capture two of the offenders and find them out to be ESA.

2057: It began on the 11th of May. With so much oil dividing the two nations, and hostilities already forming, war is declared. The Frontlines are drawn. The Battle has begun!

Enter Soldat 2057.

Current Features:



-New weapon set, with new looks and a completely different set of stats.
-Will be released pre-mappack, which will be used in my server for it.
-New gun sounds from BF2142
-New bots
-Two armies to fight with (ETF - Eurasion Task force (China + Russia) and OEA (Oceanic (Australia) and European Alliance.)
-Painstakingly-long-to-build built-from-scratch (No copying and pasting at all) Bitmapped weapons.
-%100 Percent original Weapon names. (With the exception of the M79 and SPAS 12, which will be named later).
-Sexy new helmets.
-New explosions!
-Artillery (Stat Guns)
-Airstrike (LAW)
-Pulse Rifle Bullets are now pulses
-Audio: airstrikes and exposions


Stuff that may be put in:
-New interface (Made to look sleek and sexy)
-More weapons (I don't know how to get that program where you select your weapons for the game).
-New Gosteks
-A dedicated server for people to play on. - I can't do this as my computer never stays on long enough.
-Anyone got any suggestions?
-Laser Rifle/HMG shading, and improvement on the LMG


The interface I am using is the "Soldat Enhanced" Interface (As it looks nice, sleek and sexy). The interface that comes with the mod will of course not be this, as I have no permission.

Intresting designs of the guns. Especially 2,4,9 and 0 which I like the most. I'm not sure about the shading/art style you use. Some of it looks a little plain while 0,9 and 6 have a pretty good shading.

The map from the screenshots look good.

Those weapons look excellent. Good luck with this, it's definitely going to be a great mod. btw, I love the scenery usage on that map of yours, especially the toasted cars :D

You should shade the Sniper, the pulse rifle and the trident a bit more, other than that, the mods pretty good.

Looks nice.  K45 Hellfire and L45 LMG have nice technique.  A lot have green parts on them, you need to clean em' up a bit.  Congrats on starting your mod, hope it finishes well!

The weapon designs are definitely slick, but you could improve on shading and cleanup, which you probably plan on doing anyway. Looks and sounds good so far. Keep it up.

It is looking good, Love the map.

The weapons are a bit... well dirty. If you were to shade them well and stuff I would really download them. It looks good but keep tweaking it and it will be a really good mod.

Well, strange shapes
You should complete the outlines and take bases from real weapon to make better shapes (Stocks, barrels, etc)
5th slot is Spas modified, right? Change it

Shapes are weird :/, and im just not feeling the red/blue mix. Maybe change one of the colours D:.

With the colours. I like 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, and the trident. 0, 7, 8 all need to be grey/black/silver.

Yeeuck. Those colors are way too bright, and look... forced. I would change them back, personally. Some of the old ones still had their colors on there in visible but much more subtle places, rather than just dyeing the whole things to bright red and blue colors. That was far better.

M79 is really dark, you can't see much detail :-\

The M79 is underslung under the laser rifle, the laser rifle is black so it highlights the grenae launcher, and the laser rifle, the grenade launcher is black to make teh laser stand out. But that's gonna change...

Yeah I'm gonna change the Laser rifle to a completely new look, and the M79 will be an anti-tank weapon with good accuracy, but slow reload. The LAW will be the grenade launcher on the laser rifle. this is do you may have the laserrifle and the grenade launcher at the bottom.

Update: The LAW is now an airstrike. It has a very long start-up time, lot's of speed, lot's of recoil, and a very long reload time. It can only be fired when crouched as well. It works best when you aim it up at the air and fire.
I also have made some cool "plasma" explsions. They are blue and look really good.
Weapons have also been updated.
inf_Battle has been renamed inf_East Germany and inf_cityfight has been renamde inf_street

Lol, Some of those maps are really crazy.  And the Mod reminds me of a Halo Mod I once downloaded, and was almost the same.  I really like the nade explosions, but I always think the gun names are way too long for my taste :D

Yeah, I'll fix the gun names. The maps are going well, two more are under construction, inf_Village and inf_Street.
I've started a frontlines: fuel of war mod by the way, but that'll come out after this, but it's about half done already!

Maps need shading and some terrain features

Anything non poly-related is pretty good though ;)  Just try to diversify the types of scenery you use (and textures, colors etc)
