Heres a lil post which shows all of the gosteks i have made.
Suggested by Exodus, thnx soldier :D
GENERAL NOTE, to get the best playing experience out of all gosteks, i would strongly suggest using correspoding weapon combos like those in the games/movies/real life characters. E.g, if your using the Naked Snake gostek, i would highly recommend using a weapon combo, involving the knife or the USSOCOM.
Crusader Knight Gostek Pack
NOTE: ALL gosteks are best seen in WHITE. This means your HAIR,SHIRT and PANTS colour. Gostek is best experienced with the Knife or Chainsaw
This Pack Includes 3 gostek sets , namely, the Knights Templar , Knights Hospitaller and Teutonic Knights from the crusades. Each with their own signature armor and surcoats!

Adapted from the stealth game Shinobido: Way Of The Ninja,
this is the gostek for Goh- The Crow(the protagonist Asuka Ninja)

Keeper Assassin
One of the most deadliest opponents you can encounter in Thief- Deadly Shadows is the Keeper Assassin.
Unnaturally strong and agile , they communicate telepathically and hurl victim-seeking glyph-enhanced blades at their enemies. These glyph-altered beings are hard to kill once provoked, but can be fairly easily taken down when caught unawares.
NOTE: This gostek is best seen in GREY or a lighter shade of grey(custom colours), which ever suits you best. This means your HAIR, SHIRT and PANTS colour.
Use the 'punk' hairstyle for the hood.Gostek is best experienced with the Knife

Shinobi Hotsuma
As the last member of the Oboro clan, Hotsuma, the protagonist ninja, has to defend the city
from the demons that stand before him.

We know him, and we all love him. Yes, hes none other than Naked Snake/Big Boss.
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, a prequel to the entire Metal Gear series set in 1964, introduces a young Big Boss as a former Green Beret codenamed Naked Snake, following up on the revelation that Solid Snake is Big Boss's clone

Alex Mercer
Alex Mercer, the protagonist of [Prototype], wakes up on a morgue table and finds that he is suffering from amnesia. He soon discovers that he is endowed with various powers granted by a mutagenic virus plaguing the surrounding city of New York. The virus gives Alex various superhuman abilities, including the ability to absorb the biomass, skills and memories of his fallen enemies. There are TWO sets of gosteks in here. One is Alex's normal form, the other is his Armor form.
Use NORMAL hairstyle for Alex's hood (while using NORMAL form) . While NORMAL hairstyle for the
Armored version(while using ARMORED form).
There are THREE sets of add-on files included, respectively named- Claws, Hammerfist and Musclemass.
REPLACE these files over your 'Forms' to have that respective power. BACKUPS ARE RECOMMENDED.
I know my instructions are not as great, but please bear with me, this is my most complicated gostek set ive made so far.

That's more of a zombie ninja. Has some elements of a ninja but not it's 100% ninja. In my opinion, stick to the three scout suggested, they look great.

even if there was, i don't really think its necessary- main cos, his black accents are sorta 'light' black or some sorts.......for a ninja he really looks like hes trying to catch some attention.

Erm the lighting affects how black it actually is. When you're working with gostek-sized stuff, a rule of thumb is to exaggerate value contrast; otherwise it tends to all look like a grey lump.

OFFTOPIC: btw, esp, ive seen your artwork at devArt. and i find it extremely impressive... as an art student, i also want to take on the path of a conecpt artists for characters, mainly humans in armor. just a question, how do you work with all that colour?, and most importantly, how do you come up with all those wicked mecha/armor designs?? i can't seem to grasp my colours right.. heck i don't even think i even know how to use photoshop LOL

Needs more contrast between grey areas and black plates. It's okay if they don't blend in or look wonky in the actual files since Soldat will do the blending for you.
OFFTOPIC: btw, esp, ive seen your artwork at devArt. and i find it extremely impressive... as an art student, i also want to take on the path of a conecpt artists for characters, mainly humans in armor. just a question, how do you work with all that colour?, and most importantly, how do you come up with all those wicked mecha/armor designs?? i can't seem to grasp my colours right.. heck i don't even think i even know how to use photoshop LOL
A solid base in the fundamentals of art goes a LONG way, haha.

alright guys, im back, i ill be starting on a new gostek.. or a pack of gostek more or less.. anyway, heres the lowdown, im currently gonna put a standstill on the gostek requests of 'Jango Fett' and the 'Crowmaster'. My applogies to both of hairy and america... but i really wanna do this XD
back to the subject, i would be working on a gostek pack of Sam Fisher, 3 diff stealth suits played in Chaos Theory. Don't stand too close to the shadows... u might never know whats hiding there... :D.

damn im good, well, at least im better at Gostek modding than full modding >.< my interface sucks like crap, cos mainly i got no patience doing all the weapon graphics. and plus, people can't make as much criticisms in gostek mods than in full mods since theres very little to elaborate about.

Well, since ive already got my momentum going, i guess ill be starting on two new projects, all stealth based :D
first up is Naked Snake/Big Boss from Metal Gear Solid 3(i might also go do the Cobra Unit to complement 001_Amped's MGS 3 Botpack check it here. http://forums.soldat.pl/index.php?topic=5557.msg64954#msg64954) ,

well, ive come to a decision, to cancel the 'Batman Begins' gostek.. since frankly, we won't ever see batman killing anyone(except if its Ra's Al Ghul/Ducard) and we won't even see him hold a gun for goodness sake... let alone throw his bat-arang at someone's head.

well, unfortunately, i won't be on the comp for a while, since im havin my exams now, but hopefully, i can come back soon to mod more 'teks :D, so while im away, ill be thinkin up of some new ideas, hopefully which screams 'sexeh' to the player :P
in the mean time, what style of gosteks should i do? stick on to stealth based? or start on to 'assault/rambo' style ?
also, ill start work on those tek' requests i got earlier, Jango and the C.master... ONCE my exams are done.

Alright, ive got quite a few ideas while was doing my studies... and strangely, while doing my exam paper too... anyway, heres a few ideas.

question, how do you make it so that the colour stays that colour on the gos? say i wanna make the sam fisher one, how do you keep it green so it doesnt change colour if the colour is say blue or something? im pretty new to the whole, modding world within soldat so any help is appreciated =] thanks.

well, i doubt that you could prevent the colour from changing mainly cos its already scriptt based stuff.. meanin youll have to edit the whole soldat script for it work. another alternative is, you try to make all the bot colours white(thats provided if your playing against bots). then you could edit the gostek to have whatever details/colours you'd like.
as for the gosteks on armored guys/gals, i can't do it right now, ive got my national exams to settle first :D im rarely having the chance to touch any soldat modding right now. but i would be back in businesszz on Nov 12. so just hang on.
You might also try to make some gosteks edits yourself too. how i got here is lots of trail and error :D
VERY LATE EDIT: hmm the huxley armors look very attractive to do a gostek on ;) sure, id like to do it.

im back guys, after about a month of living in a cave, im finally coming back to continue modding again! however tho, im working on a full mod, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. about 30% done id say, mostly for sounds. anyway, im not able to continue with the requests yet >.<

actually the gas mask mod was made sometime ago.. i mean VERY long time ago.. i think it was in the old forums. But yes it was made, but had a huge bug which could'nt be fixed, because of the image size boundarys.

Apparantly, lol this Protoss, also known as Selendis, is a female alien from the starcraft universe.... that explains why her body figure is so woman like..
looks like this is gonna be my first female character. In cctual fact i was thinking of making a Faith gostek- from Mirror's Edge.

well its not that im too modest to mod a female.. its just that, to me, having a female skin just does'nt fit soldat LOL. Just image the thoughts which would wizz into your mind when you type the /piss command... yeah so, i just can't comprehend the thought of a 'girl' piss standing. Its more like a trans all together. :S
EDIT- Plus, making the gostek's body shape all that curved and smooth isn't easy when your dealing with pixels. And lets not forget about the head(and hairstyles) too. The default one's too manly, and(again) with the very small amount of pixels would make the job twice as hard... talk about massive facial reconstruction surgery..soldat style

im kinda trying to get hold of his mod, see if i could get some examples for the body shape. As for the Protoss Selendis, ive 'its' basic body shape and legs down, the problem would come when im dealing with the head.

Body shape isnt a problem.
Gimme some longer time period to try to mod the legs to look that way (yes, i mean animation modding).
But that will definitively the most awesome thing i ever did with the anims.
And yes it WILL be useable online, as the animations wont exceed the original values if i make it good.
But first to do some alignment for gnoblar, then wait for a few days, i will gradually start doing it.
I might start playing Starcraft again just to see how the protoss move. x3

Tried doing the leg angles, but can't reallyy be seen here, since its pixel work. All it ever does show is one cluttered lump. Best seen in-game
EDIT- Well, first impressions of my first try on a gender of womenly origin, i doubt i would be able to capture it, as shown here.
Oh yes, if you want this gostek to be released on the Vault, please say so. else, it might(and possibly would) be put in the 'failed projects' list

ive still got alil bit of work to do, mainly regarding towards colour. The gold's too bright, where as in the original, its more of a goldish-brown colour, which i was'nt able to capture very well. but anyway, ill just do a quick release on this post. Ill update the first one once ive done it right.
Oh yes, to anyone who's testing it, use white for all colours, this purely to retain its original colours and details. Also, use dredlocks as your hairstyle.

halt for just a second, im experiencing imageshack.us difficulties from not being able to long on due to wrong login/password.
Upon discovering this, i went to read up on Imageshack's blog. And found this-

Me too :D it was the most enjoyable add-on i made. To make it even more realistic, try editing the weapon stats- change the fist damage to about... 5000000? and watch the carnage as you literally rip them to shreds.

alright. so of all the pics ive seen and collected, i can only come up with 2 factions from UT3( i had to painstakingly search google for the names for each group ). Iron Guard and Izanagi. i would also try making female versions of it :P.

Meh, i should have got UT3 when i had the chance.. already looking at the screenies and gameplay footage makes me itch to get it :o This would also help in creating the gosteks too, i could take ingame screenies of the diff armors and do all of em.

Alright, heres some bad news to all requestees, i would have to put my gostek modding to a standstill.A new school term has started, and i have alot of work infront of me. Weekends included, i would expect that even my free time, would be eaten up by all the art projects im taking.
However, I still would try to do abit whenever i can.

Yes they all do. But, the gosteks will look different because of the loss in detail if using other than the specified colour.

Some gosteks are specifically made to have only ONE colour set, which is WHITE for all player colours. So YES you do need to change your player colour to achieve the same effect as the screenshots.

but see, i make a lot of different types of guns, i just never post them, i posted ONE, but that was it because it wasn't popular or anything, but the only problem is, i'm good with doing the In-game drawing, but i can't do the interface of the weapons i draw.
but yeah, so if you need any assistance, i could give it a try and see where i get, i have the time anyways XD
um, black definitely, but i think the only hard part of doing venom would be the eyes, it would seem like anyways
