I just got an idea like night in soldat... In start game menu has option,
"Night [X]
If Night is on then you can edit darkness of the game.
Darkess: 75%"
And comes flashlights to soldiers like press button Z and then flashlight is on. Options menu got option: "Allow flashlights [X]"
The flashlight light goes to there where you aim.

I like the idea, but it might be kinda hard to try to shoot with m79
Also, the weapons / explosions should / could make an "Light flash", which would obviously lighten the map for REALLY short time :D

Wanna 'night'?
Set your brigthness/gamma correction on 20% :|
F11 for all flashlights and stuff...

Link-dead will have flashlights.
And some really cool lighting stuff.
I think :).

And then, after doing this, maybe make some of your graphics darker/brighter as well, makes it look better.
And flashlights etc? Not for Soldat.

Don't you mean Berserker?

No, he means Link-Dead. MM was originally designing flashlights for Link-Dead.

your idea
[f11]
night maps.

good to make maps
in map maker\polyworks you can select Day\night
day = normal
night = Light "flash" for weapons\explosions.
the shadows\lights you can make using scenary in maps.

Come to think of it, you could make a night effect by putting a big black square with slight transparency, say 20%, this will darken everything, including gosteks and guns, only problem would be explosions, because they would be darkened as well, but that doesn't really matter. One solution would be having blend modes, like in Paint.NET and photoshop, the blend mode 'Reflect' in Paint.NET would work perfectly.
