the enemy is walking around, relaxing because no enemy is in sight...all of a sudden, BOOM!! welcome to heaven, soldier.
this would be a great idea. u can pick it up as a power up just like grenade, health kit, etc. when u have it, u can then throw it and when it touches the ground, it will stay on that spot. when an enemy steps on it, KABOOM!! ULTIMATE DESTRUCTION!!
-yes, it has been scripted many times, but could u ever actually throw the mine?
-also, I have to mention, if u do pick up a power up with a mine, u only get 1 max from it, and if u do pick another one, u will still only have 1 mine. once u do lay that single mine down, you CANNOT get another mine again (until that mine is stepped on or disappears).
-also, the mines have a set time, so if noone steps on them for a while, they will just disappear, but not explode (to make it balanced)
also, I hope u guys, vote in the poll ^^

This is very possible with scripting, and is used a large number of servers (such as some TW/TTW servers, Hexer (claymore), and more). It IS in fact a good idea, but is already do-able, and has already been done.
-
thats how I got the idea.
XD
but it would be better if u pick it up as a power up and u can actually throw it yourself ^^
-
Yeah, that would be cool. The problem is it would ALSO be hard to implement. I do like the idea, it sounds... awesome. I just don't know what someone like EnEsCe, or someone who would implement this would think :P

This was suggested a couple of weeks ago, and thrown down the toilet. :s

we can hope... XD

That's a harsh way to put it :P lol

This would be an awful weapon. It would be great in INF matches for sure, but normal CTF? Unless this weapon was relatively sparse, and somewhat detectable by sight, F11. It could be a weapon you might get with "Berserk" mode xD. Then I'd say F12 with all other matters taken into consideration.

This would be awesome in TW. :)

Why? Because you have to walk over it no matter what? :p
-
It has been scripted before... and since no new weps are to be proposed... f11

Shouldn't that be F11? :s
-
Right, fixed... I'm kinda tired l8ly...

They use mines in real warfare. So that's why I think they would be cool in TW.

I'm sorry, I'm going to say F11.
This is already possible with scripting. You don't need to make it an actual feature in Soldat.
Also, the normal grenades themselves can act as a mini-version of a mine. You don't throw them at enemies, you can drop them on the ground. And if any player were to step on it or the timer runs out, the grenade goes BOOM! Or you may even blow it up prematurely with an explosive gun.

LOL XDXD COOKIE SO RANDOM XDXDXD!!!!!1
Mines would suck. Everyone gets blown up enough as it is. Less blowing more shooting.

also, I have to mention, if u do pick up a power up with a mine, u only get 1 max from it, and if u do pick another one, u will still only have 1 still. once u do lay that single mine down, you CANNOT get another mine again (until that mine is stepped on or disappears).

No point throwing a mine when you can throw nades. And from the way you type, looks just like a normal nade except with longer duration and doesn't explode if the duration is over.
-
well, the point of throwing it is that u can place it where u want to. and isnt that how a mine is supposed to be? when stepped on, they explode? -.-

Lawl. Also, yes, this is possible if you have moderate scripting skills.
