Can't really remember the name, but for some reason all I can come up with is "Ready 4 die" or something like that. I know this name isn't making any sense, but for some reason that's what I remember.
Anyhow, it's an old fighting game like Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter (slightly better graphics than SF) etc.
The only thing I could remember somehow, are the characters, and they are:
*Anubis - Some wolf statue from ancient egypt that's alive and kicking.
*Angel - A chick that throws red knives.
*Pain - Demon-like thingy that looks like the alien from well.. the movie Alien. Only it's pink/purple and it's arms are like two big blades.
*Morgan - Creature that looks like the devil. He also had a necklace with a pentagram on it.
(Now those that I can't remember their names)
*Some dwarf dude that resembles Thor. He had a hammer or something.
*A green slimey creature that lives in the sewers.
*Some robot/mech.
*And the boss, called Death, who looked like a grim reaper.
...Any of this is familiar to anyone?

While your at it. I remember this arcade game from my childhood. I can not recall the name. It was similar to your average fighter but you cut off you opponents limbs to win. Anyone know?

What characters in King of Fighters resemble:

That's easy enough -- it's Time Killers (http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=T&game_id=10117). I suspect the OP is merging a number of games together, because while I can think of many which have elements of the descriptions in the post, I don't believe any have all of them.

Death - The final boss of the game and the one responsible for the entire tournament and taking each of the fighters from their periods. Being the grim reaper, he carries a scythe. He cannot be defeated in a 2-out-of-3 match normally, and must be decapitated with a Death Move or a Super Death Move in order to beat the game. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_Killers#Characters)

Hehe I gotta admit, this is pretty funny. The characters really fit my description, well mostly.
But nah, you'll have to believe me on this one.. it ain't what I was looking for. I recall the names - Anubis, Pain, Morgan (I don't see a devil like creature), Death, Angel.
I know that there was a mech creature, and the blades on Pain's arms were a part of his skin, not actual blades. And the dude that's supposed to be Anubis is a samurai.
Plus the game was much less cartoon-ish.. it had better graphics than that.

Blood Storm, semi-sequel to Time Killers. definitely not pray for death. thats all i got to say on that. google that shit suckas.
