At the moment when someone dies, they drop the weapon they were using and only that weapon can be picked up. But wouldn't it be better if you were able to pick up both weapons? The weapon they were using would still be dropped and the other would remain on their back but you can pick up both. I think it would be great becuase I'm always in need of a loaded law.
Is it a good idea?

F11, you should only be able to pick up the gun they are using at the time. That would be stupid being able to pick up both because it just doesn't seem right and the other weapon would be packed away so you can't see or it anything.

That'd be a reason why I would go against this suggestion. Knowing what weapon my enemy is looking for, but can't prevent the enemy from taking away that weapon because he can pick the weapon from my dead body's back.
and the other weapon would be packed away so you can't see or it anything.
Actually, you can see any gun packed behind your back as long as its not a pistol (DEs included) or a knife or a bow.

I agree, but
the other [weapon] would remain on their back but you can pick up both.
I'd make it less complicated: when someone dies, he simply drops both his weapons (the one in his hands and the one on his back), both weapons fall on the ground (separately). Then you can pick them in usual way.

okeey...
imagine just for a moment what a weapons junkyard will be on the battlefield...
when playing
4vs4 - 16 weapons on the ground if its a tie after the 1st wave
5vs5 - 20 weapons
6vs6 - 24 weapons
7vs7 - 28 weapons
and
8vs8 - 32 weapons !
...
and then respawn...
one more respawn...
heh
my vote is not f11, my vote is "NEVER!"
ps: if you need loaded law then just dont shoot with it)))

I want to F12 this so hard, and I shall.

Is it really a big difference??

F11. This would make it that much harder to get the weapon you really wanted in the sea of secondaries. It's already annoying enough picking up 3 knives before you get the barrett you wanted; don't make it twice as much of a pain for the few times you'll want the other weapon.
-
I say unnecesary. F11.
-
This is not Rambo, sorry :(
-
F11, I agree with Frunkamuch.
Picking up that primary from the fresh corpse would just be too difficult especially in crowded pubs.

Is it really a big difference??
YES IT IS, buddy...
2x times more!
btw it can be laggy
-
and how could we choose the weps cause they would drop at the same place

F11 :( sorry
the thing is, we don't have time to drop both weapons in a firefight. in the case of dual-wielding, we drop the secondary weapon to pick up a primary, no-one ever picks up secondaries. also it's then possible to accidentally pick up the secondary which would be pretty close by. And even if you were to overcome this, it'd make the game a bit more complicated overall, raising the bar on a thin margin between "just plain fun" and hacking the pentagon :P
-
Im quite content with the way the system works now, we don't need to have so many weapons available to pickup.

F11, Because as Hair|Trigger mentioned, both weapons fall close to each other. So even though you are able to pick either of those weapons, there's no guarantee that the weapon you pick up will be the one you want.
So think, which is worse?
- not being able to pick up one of the guns enemy was using?
or
- "oh shi.. that's not it.. and that's not it.. and that's not it.. where is the damn knife?!? *ack, i died*"
Really, this feature makes it even harder to get the weapon you want even though it's supposed to do the opposite.
