Hey soldat community! I'm giving away free soldat servers, you simply go to the website, fill out the server settings and presto, your server is up. This doesn't require any personal information and does not require any form of logging in, at the moment the servers last 24 hours from startup but it will soon be upgraded
bookmark this page as it upgrades often with new server features etc.

AUS ONLY (seeming no other people from other countries are willing to use the service due to high distance/ping)

How about some details? Like connection speed, locations, server specs etc...
Although from what I can see so far looks like its on a home computer and home internet connection >__>

Well...If the server lasts only 24 hours it's lame because you can have your own dedicated server that also allows you to do everything that admins can.
Until your servers will last at least 1 month I'm not even bothering to try it :P

The servers are indeed Aus based.
I noticed many people having a go at me for trying to help people out, i don't quite see the logic there.

Firstly, if you're advertising an Australian service, probably best to advertise where the Australians are (http://aussoldat.com).
Secondly, GameArena, the network with the most Soldat servers in Australia (now LS is dead D:) allows people to book servers, and they'll probably use that over this anyway.
Thirdly, people love stable internet connections in games, especially in Soldat, and home servers are usually known for being laggy or warpy. That is probably where most of the resistance to your service is coming from.

Utterly false.
It does not matter whether the server is home computer or enterprise server machine in regards of hardware differences. Quite much the same hardware as far as single machine networks go. However, if that "home computer" is also the 24/7 gaming rig with Vista and all the other cream, I am not wondering at all if there are lags.
6 Soldat servers run flawlessly on dedicated machine with 400 MHz Celeron with 512 MB of RAM and Linux as OS. :|

I never knew that. I thought it was the type of OS, system, and build you had.
