Ok well, i've played this game for a while now Since 1.3.1 and it's worked fine on this windows 98 computer till now.
I've downloaded 1.5 of the soldat download page and when i extracted the file and opened it, it comes up with "choose language: english" then..... This...
Runtime Error (at -1:0)
Cannot Import dll:C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\is-XXXXX.tmp\OCSetupHlp.dll.
The XXXXX represents a folder it creates in the TEMP folder which changes everytime I try installing. Anyway so far from what i've read this problem has only occured on the older versions of windows. E.g. 2000 and 98 (most likely under).
Any possible solutions?

Yes it`s because OpenCandy is incompatible with older systems like Windows 2000, 98

Download the installer again. I think I fixed it.

Ok, this time I have downloaded the game of enesce (after Michal has fixed it) i'll see if it works now.
- I think previously I downloaded of static.soldat....
Will post outcome. I'm also going to try an extracted version of the game, will also try this out, will post outcome soon :D
Edit 1: Enesce download - didn't work/same problem. Gonna try static.soldat download again...
Edit 2: Static/Soldat download - doesn't work either. Going to try extracted version soon.

Ok I think some of users have realised this previously but, I don't think (from what I remember) I got this problem on the installation on 1.4.2 (back when it came out), but i re-downloaded 1.4.2 and the same error pops up for the 1.5 installation.
Weird.

Ok, it now works - I got the file extracted directly of the installation for use thanks to upnPAD for it :D

Ok here it is.
I still have one problem, when I join a game, I pick team and then just drop out of it instantaneously and says there's some error due to BE..
Failed to load BattlEye/BEClient.dll. - This where it usually says "Joining Game" and w/e on the lobby screen, help would be appreciated

Sable said the new updated version of Soldat (BE) is incompatible with 98 and ME. Nothing we can do about this.

I have the same problem. I can't install the patch, neither the full version.
Zipped version works, though.

hey guys. i disabled my McAfee and it worked, with no runtime error. Try it. AVG or McAfee will pop up sometimes saying "Potentionally unwanted program blocked. Press More info for more Information."
