In every game, every situation... in fact life itself, we're bound to face things that are going to annoy the hell out of us, but ultimately, no matter how much we whine, either we face it or we die in it. In this topic, we shall share our experiences on what we personally find are the most annoying things in Soldat.
I'll start:
Personally, in terms of gameplay, what I hate most in Soldat would be facing a whole team of M79-users who are also nade-spammers and spawnkillers. I don't mind the M79 or grenades at all, but I am indeed annoyed at how some play styles like that come about and how some maps (whether intentional or not) support them.

Most annoying thing to me, at least, is when people don't know how to type commands, and they end up spamming chat with them.
(Obviously you don't push the type key for commands, they're too retarded to understand no matter how much you tell them not to push it.)

what annoys me most is specially the bugs, when you're killin some1 and that guy just doesn't die or gets away from the bullet (specially with m79)

Actually, MM refusing to even acknowledge crouchbug as a problem is more annoying than the bug itself. Oh but do I ever hate crouchbug, as it invariably occurs at the most inopportune moments.

Yeah, I know how You fell, I hate this too, or when i lose all bullets from Desert Eagles(all hit) and he`s still alive! - People calling this "eating" or lags.

The players. Even worse than bugs, but at least, the players can be fixed, just changing server.

Bugs. And in this version we got 3 more of them. Reconnecting-, disconnect- and reloading-bug. And all of those are more serious bugs than anything else before, if you are going to play SCTFL 14 (http://sctfl.net) you know what I'm talking about.
As Soldat Gather (http://gather.soldatcentral.net/) -player I also don't like players who can't follow the rules, but I'm normally just ignoring them but that is nothing compared to the bugs which are trying to spoil my fun but they are somehow failing at it.

Bugs bar none. I've played enough nothing else really bothers me and the bugs hardly bug me, just more than the other ones. Especially lag type bug things that I put in the same category like throwing a nade and the person rockets above it because of lag or something.

As an enthusiast in saw v saw action, I must say the low-ping advantage really irks me. Simply put, speed and skill are nothing when your opponent has 0 ping. I've often ran into someone that was not even moving and was torn appart as if I were made of paper or something :P. I know its a lag issue and probably will never be resolved, but the unbalance annoys the hell out of most experienced sawers.

While I do hate lag shields and bullet eating, the players are pretty annoying too. Few things are more annoying than what must be an 11-year-old kid calling you a "noob" for killing him, or a 12-year-old kid calling you a "noob" for being spawn camped by him. Until I remember about /mute, that is. Also, having half your team suddenly go AFK. And the lack of nearby infiltration servers right now.

Ever since I played in sna.gather, there were tons of aggressive/mean players. Even Jeremy's one of those infected one.
I didn't mind on anything else much. But the stereotypical ways in soldat (if a player is wielding Barrett or M79, they are considered noob), racism, and flamings make me sick.
Even I try to stop, they'll call me "hippie fucktard" etc, and the flame goes on me. I just hate the ways of some players' communication in soldat...
yesterday when I had a gather with Jeremy and Ivel, both of them were arguing about team (for me! :D)

When they discover that they can beat people in things, for the first time in their life they feel superior. They take it out on the new player not using an M79 or a Barrett. It's s**t.
And jrgp, shoosh. Everyone needs a b***h now and then, I like STM and he doesn't need you to tell him that he's complaining and you don't like it. I haven't seen a b***h topic in ages. It's fine to have a b***h now and then. Everyone needs to complain once in a while. So just go along instead of trying to make us sound redundant.

ye i had same feeling until i joined a couple of soldat community's like cssc and dead ttw ^_^ everyone inthere are great players (in skills and behavior w/e) ..
so my suggestion is to find some comunity with good players like you want and play most of the time with them..

Yeah good idea. I like TW but no-one plays the servers that are near me (the 250 latency tops servers). I'm going to play some more soldat after I finish my mod.

I miss the old INF players and servers. :(
The bugs are also annoying but I can put up with them if I were to play with a few old INF players.
I'm thinking around 1.3.1 when Leo's INF and U13 INF were at there best and full of nice players.

Also, I hate when I play really badly and I can't do anything about it.

Admins who expect you to worship them or else they (oh noez) kick you. Complainers. Ping spikes. When I can't get farther than two jumps in climbing maps. 8)
Fortunately no amount of the above can prevent Soldat from being the best F2P game on the interwebz.

Why the hell isn't my player on the F1 list!??!!?! Oh... and hackers. Reminds me of the time on Saw Warriors and some guy was teleporting, auto-healing, auto-pred and had a M79. Funny thing was he was insulting us for playing Soldat...said the man who bothered to hack in a game. Oh and he sucked with the M79.

Realistic explosions.
Just makes the m79 imba, and it is such an awesome weapon to use in realistic (even more in tw).

I agree to all of the above.
And as to the spass if the player that shoots it is moving fast enough, and all pellets hit the torso\head from close range, it does that.

I LOL'd when I read that.
I change weapons according to my enemies and their weapons, and maybe even resort to using their weapons back against them, but I don't believe that'd really make a big difference in terms of skill XD

The main thing I despise is my Connection Problems. I'm not sure if they're caused by my dial-up, or if they are made by my shitty computer. Either way, it sucks. I'm trying to help my team and then I get frozen for about twenty seconds, leaving ample time for the opposing team to cap once and be leaving my base with our flag again by the time I unfreeze.
Oh, and the fact that lately my computer will either crash to a black screen or freeze completely, making me have to hard shutdown it after a few minutes of Soldat. It's really a pain, and I have no idea how to fix it. I've tried updating my drivers, cleaning my registry, and System Restore. Furthermore, I don't want to reformat my computer because my sister would tear me apart for deleting all her precious little items she's gathered over the seven-year life of this computer. D:
Besides those, I hate the bugs. Especially the people who abuse those bugs.

I'm patiently awaiting Link-Dead. It looks beyond awesome. MM is working vigourously on it's netcode as well. Snaps for MM ;D
If link dead has moddable gosteks, which it will, I'm sold.

I hate players. Most of them are angry dick-in-the-mouths. Not say'n they are all bad, I have so awesome friends on soldat.
Players in games complain about stuff like spawning, which is ok in moderation in my opinion. They complain about camping as well. I;d like to say this once and for all 'IF THE GODDAMN SERVER DOESN'T SAY THAT ITS NOT ALLOWED THE IT BLOODY WELL IS!'
Rs players piss me of too. They get very annoyed when you cap for some reason even the game type is 'SHOCK-HORROR' Ctf....I mean come on its fucking capture the flag and they get pissed over capping, bunch of inbred's in my opinion. If they don't like capping START A FUCKING TDM RS SERVER!
That about brings my rant on soldat players to a close. In closing this speech I would like to point out that there are many decent players in all game types but the few pricks, flamers, complainers and general dick heads ruin it for me.

That is always a laugh for me when I play on some pub, start owning with an AK, DE's or Barret and half the server switches to my wep...(Even though I suck compared to the REAL pro's)

What annoys me... err... players that don't read the teamchat and don't use it themselves and just run straight forward, like you just ran past a teammate, dropped the flag behind him cause you were killed, you actually even YELL "FREE FLAG" and that guy just ignores you and keeps on running while the opponent team returns their flag...
Ya, noobish, unorganized teams, especially on pubs, in general.
People complaining how noobish you are because you killed them with an m79 ("omfg, m79 noob!!!!111oneonone").
Prone-bug. Well, at least that's what I call it... it's when you shoot, switch weapons or jet while proning you won't be able to stand up. Everytime I press the spacebar to stand up (default: X) he lies down again immediatly :(
Eating is not such a big problem I think because I usually benefit from it :P

Just had a fu**ed up series of CP's (Connection problems)...Had like 20 in half an hour, wtf is it with the servers on 1.5 nowadays!? No matter how many servers I try or how many times I check my network connection I keep getting CP's!!!!

That's such a stupid thing to say. First of all , if you can play "pro" , means that you have the ability to kill all enemies (or many of them w/e). If you get pissed by your team it means that you want the team to help you -> you can't be pro without your team -> you can't get pro.

1. Ppl/servers calling themselves "elite", "pro" etc.
You are an "elite" because of what? Because your clanmate told you so? rofl
So you're a "pro"? How much do make for 1h of playing soldat? 5Euro? 10Euro?
2. Ppl calling others noobs.
If he's a noob everybody knows it already - we don't need you, Captain Obvious.
When the victim of it's insult is an experienced player the offender just makes a fool of himself.
3. Teamhurters.
God damn it... Don't throw nades in your own spam! Dont shoot while only targets you can hit are yours teammates' butts! And there are those fancy names written on the edges of your screen - dont spray when there is one just in front of you! RRROOOAAARRR!
And plz... When i'm comming home for a medpack you can see me from far... Srsly... Youre not a colorblind, are you?
4. Admins favouring their teams.
I know that it's easier to catch a cheater, tker etc when he's harming you personally but srsly, when the screen is spammed with "XYZ is a tker/spawncamper/teamnader! Could you do something with that admin? PLZ?" and i'm told afterward that "i did not notiece anything, you should have said something" i simply rage. Especially when there are 4 admins online...
I'm not talking about such situations when admin uses /kill to prevent me from returning my flag which he was carrying. Happened to me once but it's a problem of totally different weight
5. Rugger
I love it when i hit sb 5-6 times and then he takes me down with a single rugger shot... He's ok ofc. RUGGERPERKELE!
6. Team not calling efc.
It's so hard to type "yefc low<enter>"...
7. Polybugs
Simple walking can sometimes be more dangerous than enemy laws...
8. Ppl whining about "polish lagshield" etc.
Most soldat players are poles. Most of them have better pings than you do, whiner. Average polish ping is lower than, for example: russian, czech, slovenian and especially american. Btw, aren't there any american servers so you must join european games with ping 200+? I need to lunch torrents in order to keep up with those eatzors!

Soldat is a lot about team play, it doesn't matter if you kill your rout 100% of the times, since your teammates will fail and lose the flag.

It's called a crawl bug, and it's actually quite funny, and sometimes even useful, I've managed to dodge some LAW's and Barrets with that bug xD
Simply don't do any roll moves directly after reloading and you're good.

You join a server and you have great chances of getting kicked in the next 5 minutes for a ton of reasons - you're too good; you "hack"; "we're having 1vs1 gtfo"; "we're having a clanwar" (password the server then, or get your own?); *unknown reason in spanish/polish/german/whatever*; "you lag" (ping 150); admin didn't like your face; just because;
And the worst is - even if it's not your fault,
many noobs > one you

Meanwhile you m79 his ass and laugh him in the face, making him even more mad. (though that might be a problem if he's the one blowing you to bits)

The most annoying things for me are:
- Hackers
- Pauses during clan wars, I don't remember the last time I played a match without a pause.
- Excessive spray and intentionally using torrents and such to increase your ping
- And finally bugs, sometimes they can be pretty annoying but the other three things bother me more.

The players are undoubtedly the most annoying thing to me... I can't stand accidentally stumbling upon people who have nothing better to do than say: "OMG HAXX!" and kick me.

I dont understand why people keep switching weapons sometimes. It seems like lag to me. Otherwise I don't see the point of doing that.

Part of it is lag, some other people (Including me) have learned to do it by instinct after a kill, so that even if there's no one around, after I've gunned down a guy with my Barret, I "automatically" switch over to my knife in case someone else shows up. If not, I switch back to the Barret to reload.

I apologize, I'm guilty as charged for this one :P I only do it on boring/easy climb maps though, usually for lack of anything better to do. Adds a bit of a challenge I guess lol :-[

i think its more about keeping your fingers warmed up just to fill up some downtime ^^

There are TONS of trolls in Soldat. What I mean by that is, people that just want to annoy and anger you. The weapon balance is good to me. If I have a problem finding a favorite weapon of choice, then there is a good weapon balance. Bugs aren't too bad. What I dislike the most out of Soldat is the abuse admins. Something needs to be done about them.

Aside from that, the lag sucks. Especially in those days when its completely against you.
You lob multiple grenades, a clean point blank barret shot, twice and then spam him with a socom and in the end he kills you off anyways because all my shots were eaten.

1.First of group is...(PRO)fessionals, If use M79 YOU NOOB, use objeckts to hide if you underfire YOU NOOB, Use otcher guns (not Knife and Barret) you noob (sigh maybe next time dont use ANY guns :D)
2.Secound group is Zal.pl Crew, :D my Polish homeboys always saids this if someting dont likie it, for example, i kill,s 3(maybe 4) enemys in one row, Angry guy says Zal.pl, or kill him on very lucky shot :).
3. And Last one Group...Majors Club hehehe, Nick of these says all THERE ARE NEWBIES :D.

This happens sometimes to me aswell. :D
But whats even better when you've been using the knife and you switch your secondary to anything else like the saw. Nothing fails more than throwing a saw at someone when you forgot you changed your knife. x )

In my mod, doing this with saw makes you chant 'blood for the blood god'. So I do it intentionally if someone else with the mod is near me.
