Title: [SOLVED] Kill = Slowdown when ActionSnap is off
Post by: STM1993 on April 29, 2009, 03:54:46 am
Some time ago, when I first tried 1.5, if I had ActionSnap disabled and played Soldat, each time I killed someone, Soldat would slow down (not bullet time!). However, if I enabled ActionSnap, everything would be fine.

This is just an issue I'd like to bring up.

And it still occurs? What graphics card do you have? Is it just an FPS drop?

No FPS drop at all according to what I see when I press F3.

I think its a Radeon X1300 Series.

The slowdown only occurs when:
1) I get killed by someone. Suicides won't cause this.
2) I kill someone.
3) Someone gets killed by another person.

EDIT:
It varies all the time; sometimes it doesn't happen, other times it does, but only occurs in these situations.

I suspect the slowdown occurs only when the kill was worthy to be shown on bullet time.

So the slowdown is similar to bullet time, but isn't bullet time?

Do you have bullet time enabled/are you playing on servers with bullet time enabled?

Oh, no wonder...

Okay problem solved, thanks!

Normally, when bullet time takes place, your screen will seem to narrow down (covering the top of your screen and your interface), but in the case here, you can see the whole screen during bullet time, your view won't be blocked at all.

I may have it, yet at the same time I may not have it.
