I'm playing very rarely right now. Not because I don't want to, but because my PC freezes when I play. Makes me sad. D:

I play a couple gathers a day and some publics at the evening with Geo. ;)

Rarely. I can't run Soldat on hot days. I need to study a lot more. And :o KINGDOM OF LOATHING :o! takes up most of my computer time.
On average, I play Soldat once a week.

Playing a lot of Soldat right now, up to 4 hours a day :) Mostly public ctf, climb and hns because I have no idea how gather works :(

it's sctfl now, so I think there's many who plays soldat activly at this time.

If you had asked me a month or two ago, my answer would have been yes. However, since my computer upgrade, I've been attracted to games like Team Fortress 2 and Left 4 Dead (<3 Valve), which have a whole lot more than Soldat.
Of course, they're in the 3D plane, whereas Soldat's only 2D, so you can't exactly make them competitors.

Sure, I play it every once in a while, but my ingame time has gone down a bit since the new version, mostly because I'm a strict realistic only player, and there aren't much servers up.

I play it constantly, especially since I just got a Windows laptop so I don't need to use the WinXP computer I made for my mom anymore.

Anyway, is it true that the admin The Geologist doesn't actually play Soldat? I'm not sure, I just have vague memoreies of some saying something like that.

And yes I play soldat a fair bit but I have other games I like to play too. Soldats like a fill in.

And yeh, not to offtopic: 3, maybe 4 hours daily, but from the last week it fell to less than a hour, i spend the time in learning how to script.

since 1.5 has got out, i play less, mostly because i lack time, but also because there ain't so many servers in 1.4.2.

I used to play everday, now I play less and less. Studies and homework are getting harder and it's a bit too time consuming. Although still play it for fun and for warring, clans etc.

Its way to fun to not. However with the (yet again) death of Inf I have been playing less. Seriously guys, stop killing it.

Playing a bit less, for some reason soldat isn't letting me join my favorite servs..

Not as often as I use to due to the lack of servers.
Nowadays I open Soldat to either give a test-run of a W.I.P. map or stop by eC TW.

I can't play like I want really. My connection is terrible so its always a hassle to get into a decent server. Until I get a better connection... no.

I play Soldat nearly everyday. I started a few months ago and finally playing online this week. It's great.

Actually there is a way to get playing time, whilst still using the same amount of time for studying- dont sleep so much.
2.5-3 hours of daily sleep at me, but i get once-twice a week ~7 hours sleep.
And i feel perfectly awesome.

I get alot of lag now when I play especially if someone else is using the internet too, downloading, browsin, watchin movies etc. It annoys me so much because I'm on the wireless and get like 300+ ping when I play sometimes and get kicked.

Anyway, lets face it guys. Soldat will slowing die out as another generation is born in a world with full 3D High Quality graphics and engaging worlds, maybe even VR. Years will pass. We will age. MM will die.
No matter how much we try, this is, or in a few years time, will be the largest the Soldat community grows. Think about it. If MM finds a better paying job, when Enesce starts doing something with his life: What will we do?

I won't be surprised to know that, like games such as Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory and Little Fighter 2 (LF2), Soldat would still survive for simplicity and moddability. Every game will definitely die off one day, but some games are meant to last. Soldat is a good example of such. The only thing is that, it's currently not at a very stable condition.

I try to play when I can, which is if I'm lucky, 5 hours over a full 7-day week. When you hit your 30's, responsibilities get in the way. I have to job hunt (fucking economy), because I have a 50% chance of being officially laid off. I'll be studying soon so that I can get my ticket to use a gamma-ray camera (a radioactive source - alternative to an x-ray machine). I may also go for a course in being a radiation safety officer. Money, bills, house, girlfriend, food, friends, partying and sex take a good chunk of my time as well. I also promised a Soldat inspired comic I'm working on - which is already a week late. :(
If I could, I'd play 5 hours minimum a day. My ideal life would be creating games, cartooning, learning to program (then programming) and playing Soldat each day. Course, I'd never give up partying and sex lol.
It's kind of strange in life, when you have a passion, it's easier to find something to do that is the exact opposite of that passion - in my case it would be boring or labor jobs. Grunt jobs are in abundance here. It takes blood, sweat and tears to work within your passion. The effort is worth it though.
Anyway back on topic... that is my excuse. No matter how little I get to play, I still love this game.

I'm about the same I go to bed 2:30AM and wake up for work at 5:30AM.
You get used to it without the sugar(I hate coffee).

Probably some guy that was bored who wanted a little 2 second burst of fun. Then it was his bed time (8:30). Anyway, Soldat's getting a little dull. The only server that I find interesting is something like [EC] Official mod or something like that. Its like Hexer Mod, but your stuff doesn't get saved.

Yes of course, I play it a lot, because I've got lots of free time, and I like programming, making scripts for Soldat is awesome. :)

You say "Yes I play" and I haven't ever seen you in-game (and I play every day for hours). So I'll logically say "No I don't play" and I'll open Soldat right now :/ (You guys playing normal-mode?)

I started playing about 4 years ago and took a 2-or-so year break in there where i didnt even run the game.
Now im back on this horriably addicting substance and get in about 2 hours a day

A few members are retired from playing Soldat and stay around in the Lounge (non-Soldat section), they can be considered as "No, I don't play".

360's are fine. Some people might simply just not play soldat, and are here to make maps and lounge around. Unlikley, but there we are. It's good that people play a lot, soldat is the new black.

I play amost everyday, not online because of connection problems running up these days. :'( But I mantein a costant trainee, in team match, alone vs other 6 bots. ...at the highest difficulty, of course! ;)

Its actually easier like that than say 3v3v3v1 or even 2v2v1 because they only get one point for killing you and you get one for killing them...and unless you suck you should be able to kill at least like 4 or 5. A survival ctf is better (on a normal map) cos you have to defeat them all to earn a point. Also, what's the bots eye sight level? And please tell my no blains or boogiemen (mans?).
But I hate bots cos of the path finding.

It's be better if the bots didn't require waypoints, but that's not what's being discussed. I recently got a new 360 so Halo 3 has taken over.

Ever since inf Graveyard went down i've been a lot less active :'(. Why can't any one just put up an inf server and call it the graveyard. ;D. That would be cool.

Occasionally, but not very seriously. ...Mainly against bots, shamefully enough, either locally or on that Fallen Angels Decaying Zombie server for some reason. Usually full of explosion-spamming assclowns, but the weapon mod is fun.

No. Soldat got boring after 1.4.2, :( Nowadays I'm sa-mp 24/7. I just hang around the forums.;D

Which made soldat drift away from what's it's all about to the vets that left...It should be about "I kill you, you kill me. FUN!"...Nowadays it's about "Omg noob!\ Cool feautre! BORING."
At least that's my humble opinion to it.
*The graveyard was revived then died again.
*You don't have to call a server "graveyard" to make it good. Try looking for #FU inf.

Right, but naming a server "Graveyard" would hopefully bring all the people we used to play with. And that was most of the fun.

The publics I play ok have no M79. They are epic, it's so frantic that in the end we are all using MP-5s and Minimis. Occassionally we'll see a Barrett, but it's good fun otherwise. On the smaller maps there's been an influx on spas users, which is always good to see.

Yestarday, in late night, I have turned my 1.3.1 soldat on. ;D Hopefully there was server with some players. It was nice to play it once again.

I don't think anyone goes into U13 Inf anymore because the point system is bugged. So nobody is really able to play there.
I usually am on the Swedish Inf server or on the #FU Inf server. When nobody shows up, I go to Leo's rs
