What for me is still the best NA server provider and host for intercontinental soldat matches has been going downhill in the last weeks. For some reason there's heavy packet loss especially at night and servers sometimes become unusable (from not showing kill messages / cap logs to just intermitent and frequent connection problems and warps). This said, when are u13 rental servers going to be updated to 1.5?

Its deffiantely not even enjoyable anymore. Constant CP's all the time, crazy warp, even worse registering than normal. Its really really bad now.

I've noticed steady lag the past week (or so, give or take a few days). It has basically made the NA gather servers completely unplayable. Extreme warps, dead bodies shooting, dying randomly in the air....the list goes on. Whatever the problem is I hope it gets fixed really *REALLY* soon.

FLAB has just given me access to the rentals account. I'll be digging through the source code and updating the panel and stats to work with 1.5. I've already made a stats parser for 1.5 and I'll replace the broken stats management system in place with that.
Expect it to be better than ever in a few days.
also, when and where is that chatlog from?

Oh, you mean the ping on the u13 pubs? I can't control that, that's FLAB's datacenter. I think they had some maintenance going on recently or something. It'll be better soon, no doubt.

Nah, we mean the servers used in #sna.gather. It isn't ping related, it's more just..laggy. I get 50 ping on u13, and it feels like I'm playing with 350.

It's extremely buggy, it was already bad as it was but it's gotten noticeably worse recently.

Bouncing shit flying all over the screen, sometimes theres no sign of a kill in kill log and the player continues moving 3-5 seconds before falling into the ground. I've been really disappointed with u13 ever since 1.5 came. Somethings wrong with it.

The problems with packet loss and lag lately have been a problem with my host. As of yesterday, that problem *should* be fixed.
This is why EnEsCe's BNC has been disconnecting lately too, and why a lot of other things will be offline/broken for a few hours here and there. They made some major upgrades to their network that introduced some problems. I gave them more and more information about it, I think it is better now. I've been watching it very carefully and haven't seen any problems since their maintenance yesterday.
I know the quality of U13 has been going down lately, I've been really busy (graduating from college, looking for a job, doing ... so much other stuff). I'll be working on fixing U13 up a lot soon. This is why I haven't been active on the forums lately as well, I've just had too much going on IRL. I owe jrgp a lot for helping me get some of this stuff fixed up lately. I haven't upgraded the rentals servers to 1.5 yet because I've just been ... busy with all of that, and been worried about getting those network problems fixed first anyway.
My sincere apologies to everyone here who has in some way or another been impacted negatively by my absence lately. You all know I've been around and reliable for a long time, but with graduating from college and looking for a job... this has been insane lately :( I'm not going anywhere, and everything will be back to normal soon.

A script 100% working on 2.4.6 crashes 2.5.6 server every 2 minutes,

Killa you might want to take it easy as he has already explained himself...
I only have noticed one thing wrong with many servers nowadays that use the continuous point increase system, like htf, and inf. Like in the U13 inf public server where bravo gets 30-45 points each 5 seconds when there's more than a single player on the server. And it's the only thing I could think of. (No, it's not because I'm an inf fanatic but because it was obvious...)

that is a "bug" in 2.6.4 but if you update to 2.6.5 that problem is solved.

I've just upgraded all of them to 1.5 and started them. Cheers.
