Well, the thing is, I lag quite bad in soldat. I don't know why, thats why i need your help. What can i do to reduce or hopefully remove it all together.
I have a decent internet connection but in soldat I still got high ping and lags badly. This wasnt a problem before (a year ago or so) but since it first started, i've had the problem.
Help anyone?

How high?
200-high or 1500-high?
If I had that problem i would probably try to play on another computer (a friends laptop) but using the same connection, so I would know if the problem is in my computer or the connection. If its the connection, maybe someone is stealing your connection, i've heard of cases like that.
If its your computer then just close your porn DL-s before playing (this is a metaphoar (or a joke, if anybody finds this funny))
Im no computer freak and I dont know how much do You know about these things so Im not gonna go on in case this text is useless, but anyway thats just my 2 cents.

Play in servers close to the country you are in

if youre using wireless, you should make your network private by putting a wep key if u havent done that yet cos people may use your internet causing you high ping.

The ping goes from 60-300 ca. 60 is normal ping for me. I doubt it's someone stealing my network as It's few people living around here.
And to Niko: Im from Norway, and i never play servers further from me than Germany.

don't play on wireless even if ppl aren't stealing your network its quite likely there are a lot of other ppl with wireless networks around u and they will interfere with your network giveing you lag so basically get a network cable instead of playing on wireless.

yepp, cable is the thing, wireless is for laptop-loosers.
Might be something else causing the ping, but cable is better then wireless nontheless.
If there are other high-pingers on the same server it laggs it up too.

A stationary PC is usually better in most ways exept you can't carry it everywhere. That's why I say Laptop loosers, but the problem is probbably not the laptop in this case

yepp, cable is the thing, wireless is for laptop-loosers.
Either that or if you have multiple computers in your house where connecting them all to a router is impractical.
And yea you really don't want a laptop for a gaming computer. IIRC they are harder to upgrade and are more prone to have over-heating issues.

As I'm not really a gamer, a laptop is fine for me.
