Chop N' Shop was an old weapon modded game where guns shot knives and arrows, we have revived the old weapon mod, but X10. learn more about it at www.CNSS.yolasite.com and please sign up on forums. You can also find us at #CNS.Soldat on IRC (mainly at night)

*Features*

-Great Server Mantainance *updated weekly*
-Is up 24/7 (except when updating)

-Includes *jail script* which allows admins to imprison naughty players in spectators and mute them.

General Game Info

-You can find the server at IP: 66.207.3.77 Port: 23079 Game Name: (WM)Chop N' Shop
-Location North America, but connection is quite good (Austrailian players play just fine on it).
-We have disabled all guns except ruger and law and Stat Gun (but wow you have to try them out to see how fun they are) But we will be implementing the rest of the guns, possibly one tonight.
-Map rotation: ctf_ASH Ctf_Voland Ctf_Cobra Ctf_Rotten Ctf_lanubya ( Will probably implement a few custom maps overtime)
-Max Players 10
-Time limit 30
-Game mode CTF 6 captures

Map rotation is mostly custom maps that i picked out to be best suitable for close combat/snipers but i can give you the names in which you can look in the map released sections

Server Location is in North America, it will generally be up 24/7 except for mantainance

As said in the topic we aim to revive that server mod as it was fun and chaotic. We are still trying to tweak the server and we need a lot of feedback from you guys. So why not just drop in from time to time and see what it's like.

Post by: Dpulse on July 19, 2009, 10:08:53 am: Server was up all night, if you were trying to connect 9-12 North America CMT, then it might have been down becuase the weapon shop was malfunctioning a bit, but we got that all fixed and updated with power ups so now your able to buy power ups in the weapon shop!

Are you the one that keeps joining and it just gets stuck at requesting? i'll work on figuring out why you can't join.. Don't worry i'll get you in there.

EDIT: Make sure you type in the port correctly, it's not the default port, it's 23079. I believe that in lies your problem.

*UPDATE* - Server will be down for around 1hr Minutes, adding maps, and a possible very minor bug. i will post asap when it's fixed, after that no problems should occur and it shall be open 24/7.

*UPDATE #2* Server is fixed bug free (for now, but hopefully forever =) ) so miketh you should be able to join.

PS. miketh go to IRC #soldat.devs and talk to a bazoka and mention that you can't join a game and you think its something wrong with your isps, i was talking to him and he thinks this might be the problem

You don't have a hosted server for it? (enesce, U13?) I can host you...

EDIT: It's a nice server. Never seen a modded shop server... I thought the rugar would shoot 1 knife though. Didn't get a chance to see how the gun you buy play are, but make sure the guns are balanced. That's what you need most.

Post by: DarkCrusade on July 20, 2009, 04:06:45 am: Obviously LAW and ruger are messed up. LAW gets almighty by high damage and low firerate + spread of knives that are coming out of the weapon. Ruger is a cheap weapon with 100% kill and high firerate + low recovery. Guns like deagles, hk and stuff get silly if rugers prize is 500 and the rest has like 20000 to nearly 50000 ....

Post by: Dpulse on July 20, 2009, 01:37:35 pm: first off your in my server 24/7 so you don't have a huge problem with the guns =P, second off the reason the prices are so high which they'll be higher is becuase those guns aren't usable and are buggy when used, and i can't take them totally out of the weapon shop without making the script error. the prices might be fixed in the update today, and the law's reload time like you said will be longer.

*CHANGES FROM UPDATE 1.0-1.1*

Changed the shop for all the guns that you can't buy yet it says Not Available
Bumped price of ruger from 350 to 850 and ruger's reload is now 150 ( 2.5 seconds instead of 1.4 )
Law's reload is now 5 seconds
New maps added - CTF_Dropdown2 and Leaf *DM Map*
Bumped time down from 30 minutes to 15 minutes

you might want to ask someone on #soldat.devs on irc, because no one has had this problem with the server, so i'm not exactly sure i'm guessing it's your computer?

Well, i got it from a friend until i got my own PC again. And i can't mIRC or any other IRC programm cuz, im not allowed to do that, i installed all programms like soldat ... on an usb device :d...

Yes, I know, I've owned 4 !Elite servers in the past.

EDIT: This will be a 12 slot server.

EDIT: I'm not going with Enesce, I don't think. But I'll be sure to give you FTP access and login info and everything so you can upload the script.

Well, good to hear. Add more weapons or it will be not very much fun at all. And it is curious that no admin is online when I go to the server and no one is there. You need more guys playing there or a botbalance (1 human, 1 bot)

it's funny though someone will join the server then leave and 2 minutes later someone will join and leave then 2 minutes later someone will join and leave, i see this happen soooooooo much kind of annoying.

sometimes bot balance isnt good, because people filter out servers with bots, me included.

Well here are the new guns you guys ordered :P , anyway spent about 3 hours or so trying my best to balance the guns out, oh man were they frustrating at times, but i hope you guys enjoy!

PS. They still shoot knives, i wanted arrows but arrows are buggy and wont kill the person completely so until i figure out how to fix knives r the way to roll! =)

The AK needs some little tweaks at range (like +3 speed) and lower reload time (-12). LAWs startup time higher (+16) and reload, too (+20). Damage of MP5 should be increased in an amount like 45 to 70.

EDIT: You have there a poll on the server I see. Well, ignore the results. First do the M79 since there at the moment enough long ranged weapons like the Ruger and the LAW. The M79s explosion should be a knife nova that kills much and lets you throw many knives. Also change the weapon shop a bit. Everything should be becomeable by / + 3 letters. I saw that you need 4 for the Ruger and it slows you down while playing. Also add !howto or !help to explain the newbies how to use the weapon shop correctly (yesterday I explained it to 5 guys on the server). And please explain Duke how to use the adminfunctions :'(

EDIT2: I am registered at the forums now. Please update the highscorelists and the page at all every day. You still speak of only LAW, Ruger and stationary guns and there are a few grammatically and orthography failures that makes me kind of surprised as you seemed to put much effort into this server. After adding the M79 I would like to see a backup weapon included. Add the pistol to the secondarys. 0 damage and a speed of 5, 1 round and 3 seconds reload are making the pistol to the perfect backup weapon for knifers. You can shoot, take the knife and go on with killing. The prize for this weapon should be set to 50$, maybe 100$, that´s up to you. Sure you can kill with the pistol (floppy knifing), but that´s just for skilled players and many guys on the server are just training their skills. Add more guns, have more fun :)

As for the server i will be taking it down in about 2 hours for updates.

Updates will include nerfing the ruger, adding the socom. and adding custom/more maps. stay tuned!

Post by: Dpulse on July 24, 2009, 10:31:00 pm: Socom was really really buggy and to fix it i'm pretty sure i would have to make it shoot and act like a normal gun (ak-47 hk ruger) so right now that will be on hold probably in the next few days i will figure out something for the m79 and that will be added. but i did nerf the ruger -2 ammo +15 reload.

The speed should be 5 to 10 so it won´t do much damage unless you floppy it from above and damage should be set to 0. This all is doable by editing the weapons.ini so I don´t know where the problem should actually be.

Well, I won´t be around to any forums or my pc for 2 weeks since I am on a vacation. Well ... I hope you keep it going, will be great if we completed the mod :)
