I don't expect, that much interest will be taken to this, so I'll start off by saying that I am creating this thread purely for my own amusement.

Although Ideas and comments are always welcome (Duh  [retard]  ). alrighty so without any further adieu, the only thing that I can call 100% finished ATM....

Oh, if this is for LS then I'll give you a couple hints.

  • The minigun should look like some portable FLAK-cannon. Improvise!
  • Knife should be a molotov cocktail

I have the molotov almost finished and I'm thinking of a improvised auto  mortar launcher for the flak gun.

You can't, it's "closed".
Pretty much to prevent too many servers with the script and a thousand copies of it.

You probably dont want script, just way to do in weapon mod what is possible. It's something based on m79/law/grenade/flamed arrows bullet type for knife and certain values of speed etc.

You did say sawed off, so it should look sawed off :/
But it's your call mate, your mod.
And nvm with the rounder, just pictured it and it wouldn't look good anyways, kinda hard to explain.

You probably dont want script, just way to do in weapon mod what is possible. It's something based on m79/law/grenade/flamed arrows bullet type for knife and certain values of speed etc.
Yeah... I tryed changing the bullet style of the knife to 5 (grenade) and instead of blowing up when I threw it, it blows up when you swing the blade, thus blowing myself up  ::)

Just want to mention this: the zombie gosteks change as damage is inflected. Example, The damage the the head is as follows. Its starts out looking like your normal, pale bluish green faced zombie, then after losing enough HP, the face is torn away and the brains are exposed. Epic yes/no?  ;D

The Default ranny only made the character look bloody, while I am going to make actual "damage" such as exposed bone, and brains  :)

I doubt its possible to do it with 'chunk by chunk' due to the appearing of the wounds by decreasing their transparency.

True, that you cant do it LITERALLY chunk by chunk, but because the gostek gfx are so small in the first place you can give it the appearance of slow damage.  I already have beta zombie gosteks and the plan is working fairly good. 

Yea...nother question... What program should I use for map making? Because I would kind of like some maps, for this mod.

As for the hot oil....To kill a zombie you need to destroy the brain, so oil is kind of useless.

Well, when it comes down to it, a zombie is just flesh and blood like all other humans, and like humans the central "command area" is the brain. So IF it is not physically possible for a normal LIVING human to move and have even the slightest thoughts without a brain then the same should apply to zombies.

You never read the zombie survival thingy, right?
Neither have I.
But I do remember someone stating very clearly that fire will only cause a shitstorm of fuckery all around you, when used against zombies.
It burns the body but the don't feel pain so they just keep going for their meal.
How about and StG 44 instead?

Unless I am much mistaken, the STG 44 was invented well AFTER WWI.

Also, setting "Live" zombies on fire is not generally recommend unless you have a well contained situation.

Hmmm, how about a simple bug killing toxin, sprayed out of a hose connected to a back tank, like the flamethrower then? (Except without the whole tank thing unless it's somehow possible, which I doubt).
I mean, the first people to actually be able to survive a zombie apocalypse that come to mind are farmers xD

The Ribeyrolle 1918 is the only assault weapon that comes to mind in the WW1 era...

Well, in this expansion soldiers coming back to life, so they can be dead alive during and after WWI, but using same arsenal, because it's still not WWII. For dead not too much difference, just another flesh to consume.

Well, other than the gas masks, you could try and make a mechanic's helmet, a field cap, you know, the basic stuff.
And not to forget, DO make some actual lab coats for it ;D

I read that a samurai shovel is the best against zombies since it cuts through anything. It sounds like total nonsense but I read it somewhere ;D And I want some holy water as flamer replacement

Lets hope so, I've put a lot of work into this expansion.

Could someone help me by making that logo into a .ico file? I'm really not sure on how to go about that. Or is it possible to take the logo and replace the soldat .exe logo?

Just use irfan view for ico. Shortcut can be optional for batch file, or directly with -mod command if mod is made into package with installer.

Well, seeing as how you're almost done, I suggest releasing the mod as soon as it is 100% ready and polished to the last bit, then releasing the map as a separate add-on or bonus feature.

because if so i have been working on something on my own time and all.
and do you know how when your injured bad enough u get blood on your char. etc.?
well, i've been working on putting "bandages" on the legs and all that and so far it looks alright to work with.
if you want the ranny just ask for it

Yes I remember your the thread for your mod. I am working on adding damage to the gosteks, rather then bandages (as a zombie wouldn't bother to apply a bandage to his wounds) just for the realism. The only problem that I am facing with the zombie gosteks right now is the hair, I've already made the Mr.T hairstyle into a gas mask and I'm just trying to get other ideas for random hairstyles.

make 2 seprate gosteks, 1 for normal soldiers, the other for the deadites

slightly, modify the deadites hairstyles- for example the gas masks, add numeerous blood stains and bullet holes on em so they look actually dead.

OR

Just for added effect, instead of headgear for the zombies, why not... different types of head injuries?

Army- Decapitated (just smear lime green all over the morda files and you get a transparent head)
Normal-Gunshot wound(s)
Dreds- Trench knife
Mr.T- Exposed brain

whenever theres holy water involved, theres always something supernatural about the zombie. so think of it as evil spirits possessing the dead soldiers. zombies don't feel pain, because they're already dead, hence its quite logical to see a headless one roaming around every now and then.

New option added: you can now use Black and white interface Gfx (more old school) you simply take the folder titled "B&W guns" and rename it to "guns" (be sure not to replace the original guns folder).
